About Me

Ok, OK I DO need to update this area, until then...6th Generation NATIVE Floridian here, recently transplanted to Albuquerque, New Mexico - USA . After nearly THIRTEEN years in Abilene (you could say I was B-one'd pretty well) I got Tejas in my rear-view mirror now...! Though born in the big city , I spent my formative years in small-town Central Florida ...so deep down I AM a country boy at heart. I still miss Florida no matter how many "Snowbirds" and mobile homes find their way down there! I have since lived in Texas , Colorado , New Mexico , Suffolk County - United Kingdom , Texas and New Mexico once again. For 23+ years 'home' is where the Air Force sends me but the clock is ticking on my service time and soon I will be free to choose where I lay my bones each night. I have traced my family roots back to the 1840s on my Paternal side...some of the original settlers in the Suwannee and Columbia Counties of Florida circa 1825. My Maternal side has sucessfully been tracked back to the 1540s in Doncaster , Yorkshire , UK and qualifies me for The Mayflower Society ! Oh yes, though I was just a kid, I was living in Miami in '72 when the Dolphins capped off their PERFECT SEASON by winning Super Bowl VII and the entire city just went crazy! I've been a fan ever since, Go 'Phins!!!

I am a HUGE racing fan. World Rally Championship is my all-time favorite stuff, I got into it while living in the UK. Unlike NA$CAR there ain't no 'lucky dog', gimme a lap back, throw a caution flag for debris BS! It is balls to the wall racing, every second counts, rain or shine or even snow/ice! I still think this recap video on the 2001 season is great and the song isn't bad either.

I'd like to meet:

I'm not here to meet anyone, really...just to keep in touch with my kids and old friends. I've been lucky enuf to meet some great folks over my lifetime, very few of which really know ME. I've shaken the hands of some famous people and met a celeb or two...they are real folks just like you and I, only more exposed due to their lifestyle. I have lived MUCH in my few years on God's green earth and have absolutely NO regrets or doubts. I am thankful for the few true friends I do have and if I can make a few more fine, if not I am still content. I am ME and there is no changing that...take me as I am, or not...life goes on either way...

Music:

ALL types - Music has been a part of my life since I can remember. I am NOT musically talented at all, I just love it. It moves me...it makes me recall all sorts of things, both good and bad. I recall lyrics from years ago when I can't even remember what I had for supper last night. I grew up with the influences of my parents, listening to their 45s (yes - records!)...Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, Chubby Checker, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, The Beach Boys, Ray Stevens, etc. The TRUE originating roots of Rock-n-Roll. My Country and Western influences came from my Grandma (R.I.P.) , the old, orginal C/W type stuff, that lends to my liking of Bluegrass music now. I've been a 'Parrot-Head' since I was old enuf to tune the radio dial and find some Buffett on there! Since 1987 I have collected over 860 store-bought CDs...fading memories of my mid-'80s concerts included - Rush, Judas Priest, Ratt, Dokken, Y&T, Aerosmith, Blue Oyster Cult, Yes, Styx, Night Ranger, Motley Crue, Winger, Weird Al (dont ask), etc...I will post updates as the memory banks allow. My musical tastes vary from the Association to Anthrax, from Frank Zappa to ZZ Top, from John Denver to Danzig, from Jimmy Buffett to Boston.
Blackfoot, Rush, Little Feat, Led Zep, Blue Oyster Cult, Queensryche, SRV, The Doors, Pelican, Jackson Browne, Chris Isaak, Tangerine Dream, Blindside, U2, Deftones, The Smiths, Concrete Blonde, Supertramp, Cold, RISHLOO, Queens of the Stone Age, Rainbow, Burn Blue Sky, Savatage, five bolt main, Morrisey, REM, Elvis, Fates Warning, Gordon Lightfoot, The Cure, S.O.D., Accept, Molly Hatchet, Lifter, 38 Special, Faster Pussycat, Husker Du, Radiohead, The Toadies, Ministry, Aldo Nova, MAGNA-FI, The Alarm, Marshall Tucker Band, Static X, Mudvayne, Silvertide, The Allman Brothers Band, Chevelle, Trasna, dredg and Hanging Tree!
