SARA PICKETT's *OFFICIAL* BIOAfter graduating high school, Model/Actress Sara Pickett had her eyes set on being a doctor. Sara, a New Jersey native, also had a definite interest in modeling and acting but never thought it would or could become a reality. While attending a fashion show in New York City, she was discovered by a photographer who insisted she should pursue modeling and acting. Realizing that this might be a sign that modeling and acting was something she should take seriously, Sara kept in touch with the photographer who soon connected her with casting directors and magazine editors.A year later, while still pursuing her psychology degree at Wesleyan University, Sara began booking jobs for a variety of major magazines like Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Essence. Within a year, Sara’s career began to skyrocket. Finding a comfortable balance between her budding career and school, Sara was featured in print ads for Ecko UNLTD., J.C. Penny, Ford Focus, Nike, and Enyce. Determined to not limit herself, Sara wanted to delve into doing television work as well. In no time, Sara joined Heritage Network’s Weekend Vibe Show on NBC and had an incredible experience as a MTV red carpet correspondent for the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards show. Sara also landed lead parts in Guinness Beer, MTV’s Sucker Free Sunday, NikeWomen.com, and L’Oreal/Laguna Beach commercials as well as appeared on BET’s The Center. Not leaving a stone unturned, Sara has also been featured as the lead model in the music video I’m Still In Love With You for international pop sensation Sean Paul.Since her graduation from Wesleyan University with a degree in psychology and having landed roles in independent movies, Sara now has her sights set on tackling more television and film work. Sara takes the craft of acting quite seriously. Her motto “stay focused,†is emblematic of her attitude toward her career and her determined, driven, and hard-working nature. Judging by this whirlwind of success over the past few years, Sara definitely has a bright future ahead of her.
