I have been married for 26 yrs and I am a VERY proud mother to 3 of the greatest kids in the world. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my children, going out & spending time with my friends.(although that isn't often enough), musicals (LOVE those), listening to music and doing whatever I can to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
I am an obsessed Harry Chapin fan and have been for the better half of 35 yrs now. Harry's music, who he was & what he stood for has been a part of me and who I am in ways that are almost impossible to explain in words.
I am also a big fan of most of the magical music that just pours out of almost any other Chapin family member I have heard or seen play. Many of the Chapins continue in Harry's legacy of "Do Something" and continue to do MANY benefit concerts throughout the year to benefit many deserving and worthwhile non-profit organizations throughout this country to help make this world "A Better Place To Be".
I created this myspace as a dedication to Harry Chapin and ALL of the Chapin family & friends who are ALL so amazingly talented. My page is a way for me to spread Harry's music around to those who enjoy it and to hopefully introduce others to some great music along the way.
I also created this page to enjoy meeting and making friends who share my passion for Harry's music. I look forward to making many friends along the way. If you live in Eastern Massachusetts and would ever like to attend any of the Harry Chapin Tribute shows on the East coast and are looking for someone who would appreciate them as much as I do, let me know and maybe we can make arrangements to do so.
World Hunger Year (W.H.Y.) is an organization that was co-founded by both Bill Ayers (A long time friend of Harry's) & Harry Chapin. Please Click on the Icon below to find out more about W.H.Y. and ways you can help support this great organization! Let's ALL keep Harry's goals alive and NEVER stop asking W.H.Y.???
Thank You!

Tom Chapin
An amazing artist that posesses the ability to capture the adult population as much as he does with his wonderful children's music. I don't know to many artists that have the ability to do that sucessfully, but somehow or another Tom managed to do so.
Adult albums and kids' albums, contemporary folk and pop, Tom Chapin's music spans styles and generations. For more than thirty years and through eighteen compact discs, Chapin has entertained, amused and enlightened audiences of all ages with life-affirming original songs told in a sophisticated array of musical styles. Tom's remarkable musicianship, great songwriting and personal warmth shine through whether he's performing in a concert hall, an outdoor festival, a school, in front of a symphony orchestra or in an intimate coffeehouse.
The New York Times calls Tom Chapin "one of the great personalities in contemporary folk music."
His family albums have been recognized with awards from the American Library Association, Parents' Choice, the New York Music Awards, the National Association of Parenting Publications and Parents Magazine. Five of his family recordings have received Grammy nominations for Best Musical Album For Children. Billboard magazine calls Chapin "the best family artist around." Some Assembly Required, Tom's new family recording, has been nominated for a 2005 Grammy Award for Best Musical Album For Children.
His varied career has taken him to Broadway as lead in the musical "Pump Boys and Dinettes," off-Broadway as musical director of both "Cotton Patch Gospel" and "Harry Chapin: Lies & Legends" and on television as host of "Make A Wish" on ABC, and as host of the documentary series "National Geographic Explorer." He has contributed satiric topical songs to National Public Radio's Morning Edition, poking fun at social and scientific trends in the news. Tom has a cameo role in Jonathan Demme's 2004 remake of "The Manchurian Candidate."
In addition, Tom works tirelessly on behalf of many charitable organizations. He has joined Save The Children in their mission to make lasting positive changes in the lives of disadvantaged children in the US and around the world. He is on the Board of Directors of World Hunger Year, a hunger organization co-founded in 1975 by Tom's late brother, singer/songwriter/humanitarian Harry Chapin and Bill Ayers.
You can check out the many CD's Tom has available at www.tomchapin.com as well as find out a wealth of information about other Chapin family members.

Steve Chapin
A musical GENIUS and has his own band called "The Steve Chapin Band"
Since 1991, the performances of "The Steve Chapin Band" have proven to be a total delight to both the legions of Chapin fans who attended Harry Chapin's concerts in the seventies, and the flourishing next-generation of Chapin enthusiasts. The enduring legacy of Harry's music is alive and well each time Steve, along with Chapin band alumni Big John Wallace (bass guitar/pyrotechnic vocals) and Howard Fields (drums), take the stage to perform their stunning recreations of Harry's most well-loved songs as well as Steve's own beautiful tunes. His popular "Let Time Go Lightly", from the platinum LP "Greatest Stories Live", is just one of the songs written by the band’s leader that round out the evening of Chapin music. Furthermore, their casual, on-stage conversations reflect absorbingly nostalgic, ‘behind-the-music’-like anecdotes and memories of their personal experiences on the road and in the studio with Harry. And now, with the delightful addition of the guitars of Big John's son Clark Wallace and Steve's son Jonathan Chapin, songs such as "Cat's In The Cradle", "Taxi", "Mr. Tanner", "Better Place To Be", and "W.O.L.D." attain even deeper musical dimension while maintaining that special affinity they have always had with Harry's fans.
Some of the featured songs of the evening include:
HARRY'S:
Cat’s In The Cradle:
Harry’s provocative 1974 #1 hit.
Taxi:
The classic song that introduced Harry Chapin to the world, featuring Big John’s famous falsetto.
Better Place To Be:
A story within a story, of the gentleness and loneliness of love.
W.O.L.D.:
An aging morning DJ’s sad reflections on his career and his life.
Mr. Tanner:
The plaintive story of a tailor’s love for music, and of his failed attempt at making it a livelihood, featuring Big John’s basso profundo.
Mail Order Annie:
The awkward sweetness of a 19th century midwest farmer’s first meeting with his mail-order bride.
STEVE'S:
Let Time Go Lightly:
A beautiful love song and one of the most-requested tunes from the platinum LP "Greatest Stories Live".
Landmark:
An ode to engineer John Roebling, his son Washington, their relationship, and their creation...the Brooklyn Bridge.
Where Our World Began:
A returning to the past and to the birthplace of great love.
Heroes:
A pensive reflection on the great literary figures of one’s childhood.
They Named An Engine After Me:
An uplifting and heartfelt homage to a departed Chapin friend.
"The Steve Chapin Band" has a CD called "It’s Our Lighthouse"... A CD single to inspire, support, and promote the restoration, preservation, and protection of the world’s endangered lighthouses. Join in our efforts to safeguard these historic landmarks for America's citizens.
