Pear cider, Norwegian, blueberries, vintage jewellery, textures, ideas, fancy dress, sand, skipping tricks, chocolate brownies, boots, autobiographies, surfing, Topshop, ginger beer, making new friends, writing, flip-flops, avocados, snowboarding, watching comedy, scones with butter and jam, H&M, ponds with fish in them, good customer service, Fopp, books that make me forget the real world, ivy, pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, tiny babies hands, my mum and dad's garden, marmite on toast, reading other people's CVs, snow, full cream milk, tai chi, sushi, antiques fairs, driving with good music, petting cats, getting mistaken for a (minor) celebrity.
People who can make me laugh, who don't take themselves too seriously and who acknowledge when they're being a dick. People I can look in the eyes and trust, because I've reached the point where I can't be bothered with anything less. Baby tapirs and friendly wire-haired fox terriers.Squirrels. Especially the black Canadian ones. Awesome.
Saint Etienne, Aberfeldy, The Stone Roses, Elbow, Goldfrapp, Arctic Monkeys, Hot Chip, Editors, Belle and Sebastian, Maximo Park, Morrissey, The Go! Team, Greenskeepers, Aberfeldy some more, Britney Spears, Girls Aloud and Will Young. (yes, poptart). Always love a good Jacques Lu Cont remix too.
Four Weddings and a Funeral, About a Boy, Back to the Future II, I and III (in that order), Bill and Ted's (both), California Man (ow, my pancreas), The Heartbreak Kid (whip out the sewing machine), Clueless, all the Harry Potters. Just about anything else. Easily pleased when it comes to movies.
I watch documentaries about obscure medical conditions and the odd bit of reality TV, but only if I happen to stumble across them. Grey's Anatomy (new found interest). I also can't watch television unless I'm doing at least one other thing at the same time, eg. talking to someone, reading, sewing, baking, filing my nails, painting my nails (and taking it off again immediately, always)...
The Orange Girl (and no, it's not Jodie Marsh's autobiography) by Jostein Gaardner. Haroun and The Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer (and the letter that came with it).
People who know what they want to do, and do it.My friends.
