BIOGRAPHY 2001-2007In February 2001 guitarist Michael Dargis answered an add in a local music store in Traverse City Michigan placed by vocalist Jim Steele in hopes of creating an original power house heavy metal project. Both of them exchanged music ideas within the confines of Jim..s home studio. Michael entitled the project ..The Conspiracy.. based on the song elements being derived from their recording efforts that everything has a plan or secrecy to it. The band started to evolve in July 2001 with the addition of local bassist Pete Henry.In July 2002 local drummer Matt Richmond answered an ad placed by the band and was hired after they went through numerous auditions for drummers. In December 2002 the band released under their own label ..Mad Messiah Music.. a four-song demo worldwide that received local and underground attention that produced many reviews along with online radio and webzine publicity.In August 2003 the band continued to perform locally and diligently sent out hundreds of press kits promoting their demo throughout the metal industry. In September 2003 they started recording their first full-length album in memory of 9/11.In September 2004 ..3000 Crosses.. is released to the public and music industry through Mad Messiah Music and more media attention starts to get the band noticed based on their professionalism and catchy song writing themes reflecting September 11th 2001.In May 2005 the group starts to write and arrange music for their third release gaining more recognition with online interviews, record sales and press releases in Europe, Canada and South America creating a large fan base in the USA.In March 2006 after performing many live shows and continued press releases to the industry, The Conspiracy re-enters the studio and starts to record ..The Dark Journey... The theme of the new record is based on personal struggles and endeavors that each member personally has encountered in their lives. In June 2006 Mad Messiah Music holds a local release party with limited pre-released copies of their new demo. November 2006 the band re-records and remixes certain tracks to give the new album a more commercial and competitive edge.In January 2007 pre..released demo versions of The Dark Journey are available to the public.
