Mostly Indie Music Connection was started to fill a need by 20 year Music Industry Veteran ThomMac. Thom has been involved in multiple Records labels over the years, including graydot/bulletproof, R.E.X, Blond Vinyl, Mentat, IpleDisc, and Rugged Records.

Thom has produce albums for bands like One Way, Sundry, Echocast, 14th Street, and Disciple to name a few. At points in his career he has also been in Radio as the morning show host at 96.9 The Rock in Richmond, VA and was signed to Deep Dish Records as a progressive house DJ.

Mostly Indie Music Connection is a music Myspace catering to the music industry, its loyal fans, and support services. From its unique vantage point, Mostly Indie Music Connection will, set its sights on every aspect of the music business, from decision-making in corporate towers to performing in local clubs. Whether discussing raw survival or the factors contributing to breakthrough success, MI Music Connection examines and defines the realities of music making.

Founded on the principle of bridging the gap between "the street and the elite," Mostly Indie Music Connection has garnered a solid foundation of active readers, and is commonly referred to as "the musicians bible." This leading music trade website caters to the seasoned veteran as well as the fledgling musician, and to the top executive as well as those trying to break into the business.

Its broad appeal encompasses the songwriter, producer, studio manager, agent, attorney, publicist, label executive and, of course, the professional and semi-pro musician.

DEMO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

MI Music Connection reviews both EP-length demos and full-length albums that have yet to connect with an established distributor. The way to submit to us:

• Snail mail a package to: Demo Critiques c/o MI Music Connection, 2579 108th Street Caledonia, MI 49316. Include a photo and a high resolution jpg on disk, brief bio, current contact name and phone number, and a music CD. Indicate three songs for review and include lyrics to each.

I am writing a book on how to make it in the music industry
Send me all of the questions you want answered. Your name or band name will appear in the thank you part of the book. This will be distributed to all bookstores and should be out the end of 2008.
