About Me

We are an Indie/Dream-Pop four-piece, based out of the San Francisco/Bay Area. Our entire catalogue has been written and recorded by Dennis (guitar) and Tarabud (vocals and bass) in our home studio, dubbed Gatherman Productions, since 2004; but we perform live with our dear friends, Jenna (keyboards) and David (drums). Our newest release, "Kites Without Strings," May,2008 is available at live shows; fortunately if you are out of the area, you can still purchase all current and previous releases on CDBaby.com. A sneak preview from this album is available now : Wreckage, Avalanche, Ohlone. The vision for Sentinel has always been that of a certain romantic perspective, organic ideas, and the inspirational process of music creation. We dream of taking our music as far abroad as possible; but in the meantime, we will keep writing and recording new material and performing live in the renowned San Francisco/Bay Area Indie Scene.
Thanks to all our fans for your comments on the music, supporting live performances, and buying our albums at shows! We feel loved.
The Black and White Mag Sequels and Hunches E.P. review::: Rating: 8.6
Thankfully, the torch of 4AD's legacy is being carried by little-known bands like Sentinel, who know how to absorb angelic atmosphere with melodic mastery and timeless chic. Sequels And Hunches is a 6-song mini-album that hints at the rare majesty of Cocteau Twins EP's. I'm not quite sure how these blue-collar folks make such perfectly lush dream-pop, but the outcome is nothing less than mystical. While utilizing some synth/keyboard work, Sentinel has crafted their own brand of pop that draws liberally from sources like Cocteau Twins, Blonde Redhead, My Bloody Valentine, Lush, Dead Can Dance, and Slowdive. This record is very danceable, yet is equally light. There are few bands as worthy of your attention as Sentinel is, and Sequels And Hunches is a delightfully blissed-out dreamy affair. 4.2007
