Finding Mercury is a band you experience. Their first self-produced album, “Vehicle†(2006) was the introduction to the world how four musicians could deliver such a prolific sound. After two years of heavy tour and radio promotion the band accumulated a roster of accomplishments only a mother could be proud of.
Performing for over 90,000 people and 30+ consecutive weeks on the iChannel Radio HD Top 10-artist list, they were named the “1 Listener Requested Band of 2006†for their single “Rain Down†rounding out 2006 as a success.
Finding Mercury jumped started 2007 with radio play from SF radio stations KLLC/Alice Radio 97.3, KSAN/The Bone 107.7 and KFOG/104.5 while continuing a heavy tour schedule. They were also featured in the San Francisco Examiner, SF Chronicle, and ASCAP "Stepping Out Magazine".
Coming into 2008 meant a great change for Finding Mercury. In this new year the band decided to do everything differently. They wanted to connect their friends to people who are working (while most are sleeping) to change and better the world through their music.
Many of these people that Finding Mercury call the “Unseen Stars†could be characterized as nothing special. But to the band they are the inspiration and motivation behind the beginning of a new musical experience.
In the new year the band decided against releasing a sophomore album while deciding on several releases. Each media release throughout the new year will bring several new songs, more music videos, and a new beginning to Finding Mercury. This time the band is searching with their music for "The Unseen Stars" with new inspiration that is true to the four individuals who make Finding Mercury.
