My girlfriend, my cats, my friends, my music, other people's music, socialising, studying, my VW Bus, keeping up to date with the Jellylist , anything to do with classic VWs or classic cars, anything automotive in fact, eating, drinking, weißbier, gadgets, loitering on internet forums... pah, that's more than enough typing for now... I've got other things to do!
I'd like to meet:
Interesting, smart and funny people. I don't suffer fools gladly... unless there's some genuine comedy value.
Music:
Here are 100 albums I like:
you know, like, stuff...
Movies:
Here are 25 DVDs I like:
I can't remember any more...
Television:
Top Gear
Charmed
F1
any motorsport
Futurama
Dr Who
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: Voyager
America's Next Top Model (and similar!)
The Simpsons
Friends
Ally McBeal
All the Gear No Idea
Brainiac: Science Abuse
That looks to me like quite a lot but I don't actually watch much TV. I watch Lost but I hate it every week. Go figure.
Books:
Life's too short to read fiction, especially when you read as slowly as I do. So, anything by Jeremy Clarkson will go down well - love him or hate him, he writes really well.
I read loads of factual books about cars, computers, music and stuff. I also like books with pretty pictures in them... 'cause a picture tells a thousand words. Or something. And you don't have to spend too much time flicking through them.
Actually, apart from stuff I have to read for my studies, most of my reading is magazines. Why isn't there a magazines section in here? Sometimes I spend as much on magazines in a month as I do on beer. And I like beer! I prefer magazines 'cause you can dip in and out of them, sometimes over months, without losing the thread, they're full of nice pictures and you can easily pick them up and put them down without it taking over your life. Oh, and apart from crap ones full of celeb gossip and stuff, magazines tend to be full of useful and relevant stuff. So... here's a shout out to some magazines that I subscribe to:
Ultra VW
VolksWorld
VW Camper and Bus
Heroes:
Ron Thal (Bumblefoot)
Roger Joseph Manning Jr.
Jason Falkner
Prince
Gene Hoglan
Willie Dowling
Gary Numan
Robert Smith
Ramage
P!NK
David Bernal
I also like:
Billy Connolly
Dylan Moran
Derren Brown
and numerous other people you may have heard of... but I wouldn't call them heroes...
