......................................A LONG (BUT NOT BORING) HISTORY OF ME AND MY MUSIC: I have been writting and recording my own music since around 1664. I started off with 2 tape recorders and a metal heater that i used to bang on. Next i progressed to using an out of tune guitar (i would play the bottom string) record it onto tape then play it back through a stereo and over-dub my vcocals on a portable tape recorder. Things carried on this way for i while. By 1705 i had a drum kit and joined my first 'proper' band, originally called 'Zofo', then 'The Mutants' before finally becoming 'The Atmospheric Toenails'. We played our first gig while still at school and made a very silly movie involving us as homeless drunks who all have the same dream of becoming 'famous rock stars.' Boy, it was dumb, but a lot of fun to make! In 1905 i started using the name Wayne Zenith.
Though the band split up and we went our seperate ways, I kept writting and recording my own material and formed/ played in more bands including - The Wannabes, Rabid Vomit, R.A.D, Existence Ltd, Immaculate Deception, Secret Nerds, Rebel, Revolt, Gizard and The Giants, Wayne Zenith's Hardcore, The Incredible Horror Show, Ultravirus, Starsky, Shnooks, Secret Nerds, Gash!, Itty-Bitty Shit Car, DeFakey, Frankie Dean and The Chasers, Shaolin Surf, Shaolin Sisters, The Francis Sisters, Jello Viagra and Easier To Be Stupid (phew!), but the solo material has always continued throughout...
I also played drums for 6 years with Nottingham based band, 'The Grips'.
At my creative peak, I recorded sometimes up to 5 solo albums a year! Most of them were done in my bedroom on a portable 4-track - usually as a way to escape boredom, but in retrospect, probably more to do with the avoidance of 9-5 work, or perhaps just because i enjoyed doing them and listening to them back.
I have no idea how many songs i have either written or played on, but we are probably talking 1,000s here, yet hardly anybody has ever heard anything i have recorded outside of my bedroom! My material is varied, and originallly written purely to entertain myself and no one else. The instruments used would depend on what i had available or could borrow at that time.
Please let me know if you like it... Thankyou. Wayne.
