YOGA! Figuring out what to do with my Master's Degree, appreciating the great outdoors and the wonders of the universe, dancing dancing dancing, house music, meeting genuine people (in real life, not on MySpace) who know who they are and what they want out of life.
On MySpace? Old friends with whom I have lost touch, people from the Midwest living in LA, house music lovers. Women PhD's.
Nothing brings me joy like a big bouncy chicago house basslines ...like the one you are hearing now (if you haven't muted it already), but since I only add real friends to my MySpace page, you must have already known that. I love any kind of music that makes me move any part of my body (did I mention I love to dance?), or whose lyrics reach in and rip out my heart.
I love movies that move me to laughter or to tears. The Blues Brothers, Party Girl, The Empire Strikes Back, Dazed and Confused, , Blazing Saddles, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Whale Rider are a few that come to mind. I also love SCARY movies, although not necessarily "gory" ones. I looooove Rosemary's Baby.
Heroes is the best show on tv right now. I also dig Curb Your Enthusiasm, Weeds, Big Love, Entourage, Lost, Medium, So You Think You Can Dance, and Project Runway.
White Oleander, Running with Scissors, Harry Potter, Memoirs of a Geisha, The DaVinci Code, The Tipping Point, Blink, Urban Tribes, My Sister's Keeper, The Bookseller of Kabul, Driving with Dead People, The Glass Castle, The Center Cannot Hold, Dreams From my Father, The Varieties of Scientific Experience, anything that expands my knowledge base or love of the English language, or helps me to better appreciate the human condition.
Dr.'s Carl Sagan and Brian Greene. The world needs more scientists and science educators like them. Dr. Mary Starr and all doctorate-holding, happily married, proud moms doing important work in their fields of choice. If you meet these criteria, please contact me. I have a million questions for you!
