About Me

Bill Marquez a.k.a Brutal Bill, one of the most sought after producer and DJ in the industry, is back after a two year absence from the House and Club music scene. After haven traveled the world over and been re-inspired by the world club scene, Brutal Bill is recharging for yet another assault on the music industry. Brutal began to spin his unique brand of musical house magic when he was just 13 and before long was playing at some of the biggest and most influential nightclubs in New York City. He fast gained a following among house and club heads and became a fixture of the downtown club scene, with residencies at clubs such as the legendary Limelight, Webster Hall, Palladium, and Tunnel no name a few.
Brutal is a prolific producer and remixer with over 250 productions and remixes under his belt and several dance and club classics including a Billboard .. 1 hit for his remix of The Pet Shop Boys single To Step Aside released on Atlantic Records. His international club hits Destiny and Survive are among the greatest club anthems ever produced. His work has been featured on labels such as Atlantic, Jive, Sony, Tommy Boy, BMG, Strictly Rhythm, Groovilicious, and Nervous Records, to name a few, and he has remixed such luminaries as Brandy, N Sync, Sugar Ray, Kristine W, Chic, Whitney Houston, Pet Shop Boys and Wamdue Project as well as collaborating with fellow hit makers, DJ Skribble, Anthony Acid, (former longtime partner), Jonathan Peters, Eddie Baez and more.
Brutals' remix for Manifesto Records, UK (an affiliate of Mercury Records, US) entitled Woman Of Angels, a clever remix of "Jim Morrison" and The Doors classic Riders On The Storm was a critically acclaimed worldwide hit. While continuing to record a full length LP with several artists including Greg Denard (one of Sir Paul McCartneys backup singers), new artist Manny Cabo and his sister Saundra Marquez from his club anthem Survive fame, Brutal has also produced tracks for Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan on the album "The Lex Diamond Story.
Currently Brutal has signed on to remix an array of Artists on Altlantic Records including Kiki Palmer and Jaheim as well as remixes for Bad Boy Records and P. Diddy’s group from MTV’s Making The Band, “Danity Kane” and Jordan McCoy.
Keeping close to his roots as a DJ, Brutal continues to turn it out at such venues as the Avalon and Crobar in NYC, and at international clubs such as Stereo in Montreal, Ministry Of Sound in London, and clubs Yellow and Loop in Tokyo, Japan.
Without doubt, Brutal Bill Marquez is a major force to be reckoned with both in the recording studio, and behind the turntables.a href="http://photobucket.com"
