Live events, multi-adult living situations, all sorts of strange foods and drinks, people who chose not to have babies, languages, stories that aren't true, action films, lying on the grass, getting in the ocean, getting stupid with friends, meeting very hot men, meeting very hot women, and NICE smart, creative people.
Beautiful people who like to COOK and EAT and TALK and DANCE and WRESTLE and SLEEP IN GROUPS and MAKE THEATRICAL EVENTS.
MGMT and Muse are my latest faves. Bjork. Blockhead. The Who. Massive Attack. Garbage. The Killers. Beyonce. Eminem. U2. The Beatles. The Parson Redheads. Smashing Pumpkins. Incendio. Aesop Rock. My brother's music. Green Day. Some Gwen Stefani. Paulina Rubio. Shostakovich and Dvorak and Mozart. System of a Down. How's that for ridiculously eclectic and yet insufferably mainstream?
Zhang Yimou films, in general, especially Ju Dou, Farewell My Concubine, Raise the Red Lantern. The live action Peter Pan. I've seen that about 8 times. Why? Because I wish I could fly, goddammit! Most anything with Hugh Jackman in it. That dude is uber hot and uber talented and that soooo makes an irresistible dude. Old fave: I LOVED The Truman Show, as far as all time fave movie experiences. I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that if I watched it again, I wouldn't like it as much. Uhhh...I also like all the old Peter Sellers Pink Panther films, loved Nacho Libre (but I think that might be because I'm half-Mexican and love to see my peeps on film).
I wish Heroes was back on. Other than that, I'm at the theater too much to watch right now. I'd love to watch some plain ol' music videos if I had time.
I've been reading plays. Nilo Cruz is sexy fantastic weird and I love him. Octavio Solis is too, in a much more butch way, but that's okay. I can tolerate a butch playwright.
People who love to cooperate.
