About Me

Shorty is a writer, poet, teatrista and boyle heights historian. "I was molded by the same barrio that raised me- Boyle Heights. My true schooling has come from outside a classroom. From high school dropout fallen hostage to the LAUSD to founding member of two grassroots groups (Teatro East of the River)and (Los Poets del Norte) in a world where it’s easier to fight with bullets, my word is my weapon."
