About Me

its not OF SEPERATION!
A promising Metal band from St. Helens. Founder members are Matthew Pike and James Anderton, two guitarists eager to find a drummer and bassist to thrash out the latest tunes to. They found several bassists, but none fitted, so they remained alone for a while, growing as musicians all the time.
Then they stumbled across Stew Brown, an awesome drummer with the same musical tastes, and a lot of extra talent to add to the band. The 3 began to jam playing songs by Metallica and Trivium, and quite clearly a distinct musical bond was already being formed.
To complete the line up a bassist was still required. Enter Stephen Kurzeja. He was convinced to hang up his guitar, and take over the duties on bass.
Vocal positions had now become occupied by James and Ste, both delivering a mixture of harsh guttural screams and catchy choruses.
Late 2005, the band is currently practicing at windle labour club in St Helens the band began to show what the 4 were capable of. The ‘jamming’ soon became very tedious and repetitive, so the band decided to start writing there own material.
The first gig was on the 12th of May 2006, at the Citadel. 6 Degrees managed to thrash through there set leaving the stage smoking, and a high atmosphere lingering in the crowd.
With a highly active stage presence and a love of entertaining the crowd, 6 Degrees are slowly gaining a fan base. Being compared to the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium and Avenged Sevenfold, 6 Degrees are continuing to write the songs they enjoy playing and pleasing the crowd.
The line-up stands at one guitarist/singer, one guitarist, one bassist/singer and one drummer.
With the completion of the first album premonitions, 6 degrees are looking forward.
Premonitions is a 10 track album available from all gigs and band members for £2!!!! YES £2!!!
not long after recording the album, guitarist, mathew pike decided to part ways with the band. not having to look very hard, we found a guitarist willing to play and write new material with us, Thom. having the same musical tastes as the rest of the band he fit in naturally, yet bringin a slightly different writting style to the band making the new sound of 6degrees even more unique.
