About Crown City........
Do you feel like hip hop's been lacking something the last couple of years?? Well we feel the same here at CCR and it is our common goal and interest to light a fire under the industry's ass to put out more street relevent music instead of rehashing the same ol' marketing schemes and strategies. We are a street independent label based outta Corona, Queens NY with thousands of cds in circulation on the streets. The hood loves CCR and we know we have what it takes to make our own mark. No we didn't just start this operation we put blood sweat and tears and years of dedication into this and hopefully it shows in our music you be the judge. Influences: First I'm gonna say that I'm the sum of all those who came b4 me I've learned from their mistakes and learned from their successes with that said......

Big up to all the older heads who used to break on 51st ave to Planet Rock back in the "Menudo" days haha....LL Cool J "I'm B.A.D." (I Need Love, I'm Bad) first hip hop album I copped, Run DMC, BDK, Slick Rick, EPMD, Kurtis Blow, Fat Boys.....Krush Groove the movie LL busting thru the door wit his radio to get a deal that was classic....KRS One for dropping South Bronx and Bridge Is Over inspiring so many Queens emcees to step their game up haha thanks Kris! The whole Queens movement Tribe Called Quest, Lost Boyz, Onyx, Beat Nuts, Kool G Rap etc....."The Bronx mothered Hip Hop but Queens fathered this rap shit...." Keeping that tradition alive is definately a big inspiration.....growing up in SouthSide Queens during the 'crack era'.....Coney Island, Brooklyn and all the OG's out there that taught me game.....the Corner Bodegas the milk crates all the littles things inspired me.....when Nas dropped Illmatic Mobb Deep 'The Infamous' one of the greatest albums ever....Wu Tang and how they came in the game paid for their own video pressed up they own single nobody ever did it like that b4 them.....Biggie and Tupac their careers and deaths had very big impacts on me the game definately hasn't been the same since we lost them....Big Pun and his lyrical wizardry gone too soon Big L, Freaky Ty, Hector Lavoe el cantante de cantantes and all those who made their presense felt b4 being taken away prematurely....Beef Patties, quarter waters, 50cent tropical fantasy sodas haha man I could go on all day......
