Eric Berretta

Eric Berretta is a pioneer dj of the Florida Breaks & Electro scene since the mid 90's. Eric contributed to help establish the Breakbeat movement as a resident DJ @ The Coliseum nightclub in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Coliseum was voted America's number 1 nightclub back in 93' by Billboard Magazine. In March of 97' Eric became a part of Knight Life Recordings in Orlando, Florida. Knight Life was one of the first record labels in Orlando to put out electronic music with some of Orlando's finest DJs. Eric started producing music with brother Alex as the Berretta Bros licensing tracks to various artists in the electronic industry. Eric quickly became a Daytona favorite playing all the hot spots during the 90's from The Coliseum to Sol-rays and Stealth Club to 600 North. In January of 99' Eric left Florida and ventured out spending over a year in the Carolina's (when Charlotte's underground scene was at a peak) where promoters took an interest in his signature Florida Electro Breakbeat sound pushing the envelope for him to play numerous times for busy crowds at the infamous "Bass Wars" parties held @ Area 51, Funkadelic Events @ Baja, Decepticonz Events @ Latino House, Greenville Convention Center Raves, late night clubs 519, 618, Exit Lounge, and many more. In July 2000 Eric returned to Florida to release cd compilation "Florida Breaks" volume 1 in 2000 and then vol. 2 again in late 2001. The mix was a collaboration of some of Florida's finest gaining him national recognition as a Southeast favorite. At the same time he held a DJ residency for the year of 2001 at Orlando's own world re-knowned Club @ Firestone. Eric continued to produce and moved onto residencies at Orlando's Icon, Blue Room, and Thee Grotto, along with performances at major electronic events in Florida @ Ultra, Global Gathering, Magical Maydaze, FSOB and Culture. Eric plays a vital role on the Future Sound of Breaks Collective & World Tour.
