Formed in Late 2004, OS/2 Warp remains unique in every piece produced. Using standard PC sound mixing software on a Dell Inspiron 5100 (P4 2.4 GHz, 540mb RAM) and Gateway 2000 Solo Pentium 150mhz laptop, a Yamaha PSR-185 keyboard, a Karaoke machine for raw mixing, as well as one single distortion effects pedal, how the result sounds is up for you to decide. I am only one, but I am one. The purpose of these compositions is not to rank with the great electronic bands of this time, but rather as an expression of storylines that you can design yourself while listening to the pieces. Hours of work goes into one song, however the "Pre-Demo" songs are not mastered as I have not had the time to spend. The pieces here are merely a demonstration of the technique used, and if mastered, can provide story telling ambience.
This music is out of the ordinary, but I have exhausted all conventional efforts in creating this music. NO LOOPING SOFTWARE WAS USED in all Pre-Demo recordings. What you hear from beginning to end (including drum beats) were created by the artist manually and then mixed to achieve the desired effect. Consider this an abstract art.
The songs available here are not for download because they are not mastered, and still contain a few errors. As soon as they are cleaned up, they will be available for download to those who so choose to own these. Essentially what you hear are live series of manually created drum beats and melodies This is my work and I ask that you respect all perspectives on this music. I would like to thank you for visiting this page.
Update 7-2-2006
Dusting off the keyboard and circuitry experiment after another hiatus due to school, now however with the intent upon focusing on building new material with a slightly different sound. O/S2warp will also be creating music with the intent of playing it live, set to be released at the IMIMIII festival on August 26, 2006. Thank you again for visiting this page, feedback is appreciated.
