where is this taking us? day to day in a life of endless change, some things remain the same. but what remains the same really has changed from the beginning, youve only gotten accustomed to it. the turns of the events from the past and the uncertain path in the future is what keeps it motivated.
conceived early 2003 "thebarn" was known as (some other band) and formed in order to perform at a talent show? thebarn has since grown out of those humble beginnings into somthing lacking everything but thebarn's electricity that is only re-emerging. thebarn is looking to expand their former genre from a metal sound to somthing else!
in order to return back to their roots, thebarn is working on another great song for the upcoming celebration

It all started last September `02 when Meik and HASH decided to start a band. They played about once or twice a month until finally they got sick of just having one guitarist and drummer. They talked about it asking eachother who would be the best bassist for the job. Nick Piotrowski? Not unless you want to play Beethoven. Austin Silk? Um no, says HASH. Who else plays bass, Meik asked himself, Jrew does. Hmmm. After about a month of thinking about it and talking it over w/ HASH, Meik finally got the guts to go up to him (since he never talked to him and barely even knew who he was) and ask him if he wanted to be in the band. He agreed.
After about a week or two of Jrew and Meik practicing almost everyday from 2-7 at Meik's house...and Tony too, kinda, the big day finally arrived to pack up our stuff and head over to Josh's house where they would put their excellent songs that they made up to some drums. Those songs are now works of art. "BUT HEY! WE DON'T HAVE A SINGER!" some idiot said. So HASH said "Why don't I call up Adam P. He told me he wants to sing in a band." The members agreed. Adam came over with his hat and sang some lyrics. Another work of art is accomplished.
Then in September, guitarist Steve-N Techlin saw a (former name) show and offered to fill the needed position of a second guitarist. After a quick jam session and an interview, Steve-N was brought into the band. With a new guitarist added to their arsenal.
October 31, 2003.
The band dissolved after Steve-N left the band on this black day in October. However, that Sunday afterwards, Adam P. received word of a show happening at the Flint Local 432 on November 15, 2003. The original four members agreed. And thus the legacy of (former name) continues, however jacked up it may seem.
Goodbye to yesterday.........it is time for now

(former name) dissolves after stunningly terrible performance at the Flint Local 432 and while other members decide to pursue other options. this is the end of (former name).
