About Me

the cd is done!!!!...for those of you that don't know about it, it's two cds....one, the long anticipated Crane Orchard full length, "spread your lies wholeheartedly - the other is "touch to love" by Ponieheart, a sort of crane orchard alter ego.....the packaging is worth the $12 on it's own....art by adriane schramm, design by vic donati, digital disc printing by action duplication, arigato pak by stumptown printers, and hand screened by paul of crane orchard/ponieheart!heres a bit of press about the new recording-----------------------------A double CD and double persona album featuring the talents of Ponieheart and Crane Orchard. Imagine a Xiu Xiu dreamscape album that is punctuated by soap opera theatrics in the studio and heavenly melodies. Intriguingly some of the songs are done by both bands, so that there are two versions of “Breece Pancake”, “Go Dead”, “Swamp”, and “Don’t Lie”. Paul Fugazzotto II and Nick Punch are the two masterminds behind the partnership and their raw intensity in songwriting bleeds through each of these masterful indie pop gems. The songs come out as very sophisticated works of art despite their stripped down outer shell sound. - J-Sin, Smother.net************************************************* *******************************Paul and Nick first met when Nick was coerced into recording some other asshole's band that Paul used to play in. After the disgust of working with Bright Bl..$..%$.. wore off Nick happened to talk to Paul again over a year later. Realizing they had a dead friend and an obese ex-wife in common with one another it just made sense to start playing music together. With copious amounts of marijuana and much tape hiss the first song, Hold The Light, was recorded at Nick's studio. After more than three years together, several revolving musicians, loss of money and two of Nick's favorite bongs broken during intense recording sessions Crane Orchard still exists. It's just that simple and uninteresting. Spread Your Lies Wholheartedly will be released along with Ponieheart's new album January 2007. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +
