About Me

BIOGRAPHY: A graphic designer hailing from East Brunswick, New Jersey. His work can be seen on various pulp novels such as Captain Hazzard: Curse of the Read Maggot, Secret Agent â€œXâ€ Anthology, and The Moon Man in Lunar League. Other credits include work on graphic novels such as Terry Sharp: The Faceless, The Wicked West, The Black Forest (Rondo Award for Best Horror Comic, 2004), The Black Forest 2 (Rondo Award for Best Horror Comic, 2005). Former jobs include mass market cover design for Tor Books, as well as an editorial internship for Marvel Comics (X-Men Group). He is president and founder of Blinding Force Productions, a creative design think-tank, and Episodes From The Zero Hour! In his free time, along with his lovely wife Erin, he likes to expand his status as one of the worldâ€™s preeminent British beer connoisseurs.
MY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY: To truly innovate the future of design, itâ€™s my philosophy, that one must start by learning from the past, as well as being aware of the current trends or otherwise. A designer can only be versatile if they are aware of the world around them, be it within cultures, news, or nature, in order to bring something new to the creative future. A design can be simplistic yet, at the same time, realize a complex, layered meaning. Toning of a photograph can give a thousand different stories to the same subject. Texture and atmosphere can give the plain everyday a new genre or mood. The right typestyle can bring in more customers if one knows the taste of the audience. A campaign for a film is only as powerful as the knowledge one puts into it, and sometimes the campaign itself can be even more powerful than the moving image. A solid designer is aware of all of this, learns it, absorbs it, and makes it happen seamlessly.
