Lil Dynomite, started rapping in September of 2003 when she was 24 years old. She had been writing poems, for a while, but she had never tried putting them to music. One sleepless night she downloaded some beats and spit some lyrics, and BOOM, their was an explosion! Then she finally realized what her purpose was in life. Her whole life she was criticized for being loud, hyper and outspoken. It seemed as if she had finally found her spot in life!
She decided to call herself Lil Dynomite because it describes her to a T. She's a little stick of dynomite that makes a big boom, and she always leave a lasting impression where ever she goes. She spent the rest of 2003 and 2004 downloading and making beats, meeting musicians, and writing songs.
In 2005 she started rapping at parties and she soon learned that performing in front of a crowd was a rush like she had never fealt before and she wanted more of it! After recording her first 2 songs (Tickety Tock & Gonna Bounce) she decided to expand her knowledge of audio equipment. She began attending audio engineering classes at the University of Maine at Augusta where she learned alot of important information about music in general. In 2006 she took the stage for the first time in Brunswick and then again in Gardiner. She began promoting herself through Myspace which opened many doors for her.
In 2006 she began acting in her first independant film, "Web Girl", where she plays herself "Lil Dynomite" rapping on stage at an underground club, performing her song "Tickety Tock". The movie is scheduled to be released summer of 2008, along with "Web Girl" the movie soundtrack featuring Lil Dynomite as well.
Now she is writing like crazy and collabing with many other talented rappers. She is continuing her audio engineering training and currently working on her first album "Dynomite - The Mixtape" which is set to come out Spring 2008.
