When I believe I am worthy of love I am transformed into a being of Love
What is Love?? A-It is my nature B-It is my friend C-It is my life
Colleen began writing poetry at the age of 22. Raised by her grandparents in a Mennonite home gave her the passion to learn and cultivate an independent view on life. Although no longer a Mennonite Colleen's poetry reflects the wholesome bonds of family, faith and growing up in the country. Colleen says "Writing allows me to open my heart and my soul and share. Our passion comes from our suffering and pain, and sometimes we lose passion becoming all tangled up in these troubles. Dreams are born from passion. Perhaps in some small way my words will touch the heart of my readers and stir passion and healing." Colleen attended F.E Madill Secondary school where she completed grade 11 and independently at home completed secondary school through home schooling at Stratford Career Institute.Colleen is currently studying creative writing at Stratford Career Institute Colleen has completed Grade 8 in the Royal Conservatory of Piano Music.

Colleen Will touch your inner being with her lovely book of inspirational poetry. The title "Entangled Within The Nature of Things" suits these beautiful pieces well as she writes about the human nature and mother nature as it entwines with the spiritual.. These are touching and warm as she writes about Grandmas' Kitchen, Gods Eye on You , Reply from Heaven and many more. I enjoyed them all and would highly recommend Colleens loving and wholesome book to anyone

It would be hard to chose a favorite poem and it would not be fair to try. ENTANGLED WITHIN THE NATURE OF THINGS by Colleen Smith is a book of poems nicely complimented by well chosen, dreamy photographs and will not be out of place on any poetry lover's bookshelf, and it will not collect dust there, it will be read and discussed by other poetry lovers. That I am certain of. It doesn't matter how beautiful the cover might be, this book is not for show, this books it to be read, it is to be dreamed with. Colleen's poems are easy to read as they flow nicely from line to line, from thought to thought with no nonsense assonances. Colleen's poems are a form of art that does not need deep studying of a form itself, they are just there giving the reader the oppurtunity to become closer to their creator and him or herself

I wanted to tell you my 7 year old picked up your book today and started reading your poems to me.It was cool she loved them because they spoke of beauty and love at 7 she understands that. I just wanted you to know and a thought maybe a work something different maybe a book of children's poems to touch that innocence. So you rock hun a memory for unknowingly created by a special soul such as you. My daughter took your book to school. She already has her favorite ones picked out. The Christmas one she read me the lines all wrapped up in love. She said that's why she likes them they are of good things

Seen or unseen acts of love:both are honorable
The rarest of shoes are made from truth
And can walk you through any test
Search for the heart that seeks true life and true eternal youth. You will find it in those who have already walked the journey of life, experienced hardships and found a comfy rocking chair to settle into and just BE.
Pass through my lips and taste the waters of my heart. Read me like I am your favorite book ,like a chronicle yet to be told

Love with endurance ...even a steady drip of water falling on a rock can change the rocks appearance
Let your vision continue
Though echoes of laughter fade

Tongue certain of conviction
For all that, it has made
Though Flood lands be flooded
Though Soil rotates
Though many lend the impression to haunt and debate
Dance not with the Keeper of dispute and mistreat
Nor balance the Score of win and defeat
Hard pressed and pushed downstairs into a pulsating brain
Thunder and lightening bolts join the rain
SAYING ..
Contradiction of message
In displaying the show
Balancing outerand inner ordeal
Words numb as heart numb
Neither to feel
Fine-tune the rock
Blockade the construction
Of lips that give, birth
To a world of destruction

Creative energy when on fire manifests into life. It contains the inhale of stimulation and the exhale of being. I truly believe within everyone is this essence. Our ideas are an echo of creation. They are the cords that join us to existence.
Across valleys and mountains I can hear an echo whispering along the wind. Gently blowing the ember that ignites the flame of the composer, whose harmony unites the notes on his piano. A cherry blossom descends in anticipation to greet the green blades of grass, that stretch as arms waiting to embrace the gaze of an artist. The eye of an artist is but a vessel transporting the echo of miracles which occur every day.

I am a poet and a witness of ideas and inspiration. From the ink to the paper the written word echoes encouragement and support. It is the resonance of creation that gives meaning as we unite. From the foundation an idea breathes life into an idea and the circle of life continues. ColleenCSMith

Receive me for an adventure
Standing
Shielding
Prepared with my voice
I want for courage of a lion

Connect me to these wingsThat rise to the airWeightless
Catch my troubles and lift them away
Cover me in feathers I want for freedom of a bird
Touch me with sunbeams
Warm the entire
Therefore, I may grow in spite,footsteps upon me

I want for endurance of a meadow ..
Ignite gratefulness that spills overthe caverns of my wounded heart
Shift me to higher grounds
I want to witness the flow of a waterfall

Reverberation in colors
Emerald, sapphire blend

Restored to health
Daughters do mend
Rebirth of the Goddess
Restored us to see
The image of splendor
In Gods company
Push back in rebuke
The feast of lies
Rupture the wall
Bring ear to the cries
The view of this fountain
The sound the display
Ripened this fruit
For our harvest day
Mercy of wants
No hidden desires
Brings One Even closer
To flames of the fires
Flowing this anthem
Of sacred chant
In vision of Love
To these do we grant
No more the void
Only emptiness spent
Darkness bowed
Light dispersed torment
Reverberation in colors
Emerald, sapphire blend
Restored to health
Daughters do mend

Reviews of Ancient Mirrored Dreams

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ancient Mirrored Dreams" is a comprehensive compilation of poetic voice. Colleen Smith gives the reader insight of her inspirational vision using different mediums of expression. Her rhyme poems are unforced, keeping within the natural syntax, without distorting the visual that has been painted. One of my favorites is Smith's, “Silver Butterfly“. Ancient Mirrored Dreams" is a "poetry pleaser" for anyone that dares to dream. A nice way to spend an evening Tammy Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz"
Colleen Smith's collection of poems is excellent from Alpha to Omega. From the depth of her being she expresses her faith, and the joy of heeling. From Difference (Verse Rhyme) to passion. The choices that we make and the Friendships that endure. A homage to her wonderful grandmother whowas there for her in her upbringing and even until she reached the valley.THe one in a million pearl. The sacrifice we must all make when a loved one is an addict. The silver butterfly. Whether it be free verse or narrative rhyme or just verse rhyme she poures her heart into every word. Her gift to the world both inspirational and spiritual for others to enjoy. For those who dare to look inside themselves. Thank you Colleen for sharing your innermost feeling with us. I now have read both of her books of poetry and recommend that you do too. Billy G Horton
My feast is not the norm among table and chairs I …
Seat myself beside a river, on a rock, beside a tree, on a land
Of God and me, by a dream, on a moment, by unpolluted desire,
And longing atmospheres linger
Down a trail across the way
It is your face that searches through out the day
For love, for embers, for satisfaction
Where veins pulse passion without distraction
I sit across the bridge of troubled waters
And bid you come to rest
Yet you came in search of heaven It’s all important..
even the robins watch and rejoice
As we kissed upon that bridge
As we rest upon that bridge
You brought the song of lovers in With new winds
I count fingers, lines, spots, dots, stars, time
But I cannot count the ways of the winds
Heroes:
What makes a hero a hero? Is it the courage they display? I truly feel within each of us is a hero, and when we look within then and only then and see this beautiful truth, there will be not one person we meet in life who is not a hero.
Thought for Today (daily inspirations be sure to visit daily)
Happy, what brings your spirit to new heights of bliss and contentment?
These are a few of my favorite things~ Sound of Music
Laughter of children an arc of a rainbow. Songs of a robin and fires aglow Dancing on fair clouds without any wings These are a few of my favorite things
Happiness is not a thought away, it is a harmony.
To be of good cheer does not take our minds or logic but rather it requires us to join into an ever-present energy that is available to us always. All happiness flows within the energy of love. All unhappiness flows within the energy of fear. Fear and Love are two distinct opposites and yet both are energy. Fear taking the beautiful energy of LIFE from us and Love giving abundantly more LIFE.
What brings happiness is what brings LIFE. I have heard it said often that happiness being an e-motion is simply energy in motion. It moves us to life or to lack of life.
Many times I have blocked myself from unhappy people, words; events only to find that later in life I also blocked myself from happy people, words, and events.
The Harmony of Happiness begins within each of us. It does not begin outside each of us. To be “OF” good cheer means this is where we are coming from. We are a part of the living and this is the direction of our energy.
So what makes you feel alive within? Don’t think about the answer to this question But rather see the appearance of words put to music. Words are ingredients “OF” a song.
Be ingredients of Life that add more Life to unhappiness and receive the ingredients of Life that add more Life to Life.
