Limedrop began as a love story between its creators and designers, Clea Garrick and Nathan Price. The pair met in their hometown in the tropical far reaches of the Northern Territory where the young lovers became inseparable. At a secluded rocky beach, Nathan proposed to Clea where they vowed to never marry, but to remain truly in love. They linked arms and ventured to Melbourne via Brisbane and Sydney. Clea gathered a degree in fashion design and worked in the production rooms of Easton Pearson, Obus, and Crumpler. Nathan studied marketing/ management and kept a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Then in 2005 the design duo conceived Limedrop: their bold, playful men’s and women’s wear label.
At the heart of Limedrop is a positive ideology that is built on Nathan and Clea’s partnership. The most resounding thing is how fluid and natural the pair are together. It is something that seems to work because they share the same passion.
The response to Limedrop’s collections from buyers and boutiques has been so overwhelmingly positive that the design duo hasn’t looked back. From humble beginnings as a rucksack bursting with designs to now delivering their fourth collection “Wooden Mirror Ball†to both the northern and southern hemisphere autumn/winter, the label has set a strong base in the Australian market while international buyers are embracing their fresh designs with open arms.
The intrepid twosome is ready to once again hold hands and leap into the future with new plans, ideas and a strong design element.
