Good times had by all, but now go here -
Hollowpoint are a three-piece band from Devon in the U.K. Playing a better-than-average mix of rock and punk, they dominate shows with their tight combination of originality and professionalism in the music, and with the sheer energy of their performances. Each member talented in their own right, together Hollowpoint produce a show definitely worth witnessing.
The band's debut album, Chinny Reckon, brought together Hollowpoint's relentless energy and passion in a real explosion that was enthusiastically greeted by the fans and started the crowds singing along throughout shows. In a glowing 9/10 review, Street Voice Magazine said, "The energy coming from this CD just shows the potential Hollowpoint have and to ignore them would be sheer criminal. There's just so much energy in their sound and they remind me so much of the kick ass 'More Than Normal'."
Now, with their eagerly-anticipated follow-up album, Life In General, the band have taken their music to another level. Infusing a hard melodic edge into their punk-rock anthems, Life In General is "much more of a whole recording," says guitarist and vocalist Ben, "the album works much better in it's entirety than our first record. We all sat down and figured out the flow through the songs, we worked hard to make sure that the songs we'd written put across what we wanted in a very solid way. The songs each have their own feel and sound, and you can hear each member's separate influences, but the album is definitely Hollowpoint through and through. This is what our band is."

Hollowpoint started out playing small gigs in their local town and soon leapt from strength to strength. Over their first few months, the band rose to local fame playing various open-air festivals and rock shows, including the well renowned Gold Coast Oceanfest festival, where they took to the main stage and proceeded to "wow the crowds", making it onto the festival's DVD.
A stream of gigs followed, including headlining spots at packed-out local venues. After repeatedly filling every sort of venue in the area the band stepped up to headline at the area's biggest club. After the gig the manager wrote:
"Hollowpoint promoted themselves well and bought a large fan base with them... The band came on at midnight and captured the crowd for well over an hour, as a rule Joe Public will finish his or her drink and leave when live rock bands perform, but this was different, even groups of regular punters who normally groove to R'n'B were jumping around loving every minute throughout the performance. We've put on about twenty gigs of this type since I started here at S**** five years ago, some run by agents who've been doing this type of thing for decades. This was the best of the lot!"
After shooting the professional music video for their song, 'No, You're Boundary', now bound for MTV and currently broadcast over China, Japan and Canada, the band are also enjoying radio air-time across the globe. Hollowpoint are now looking for management to help introduce more people to their live shows.
