FYI - Recently, there have been groups popping up in the New England area that are using "New England Paranormal" in their group's title. I would just like to make it known that unless the web address is "www.newenglandparanormal.com" it is NOT New England Paranormal!Ever since I was a child, I'd had a fascination with the unknown, ranging from the possibility of the existence of life
on other worlds to unseen spirits on this one. I also found a love for music, and after picking up the guitar around
the age of fifteen, I would spend anywhere from four to twelve hours practicing in my room. Friends and relatives told
me that I was becoming really good at playing the guitar, and in my mind I could see big things coming for me in respect
to being in a band. Unfortunately, my dreams never panned out as I had hoped, but it did not stop me from playing for fun.
As the years past, other things began to pique my interest, one of which was becoming a pilot. Eventually, years down
the road, I ended up taking flying lessons and achieved a long goal of mine...I am now an FAA certificated private pilot.
My interest in the paranormal never did cease, and only a few years after getting my pilot's license, I had a paranormal
experience that I could not explain by any means. Having this experience rekindled my love for ghosts and other things
unknown. I began selling some of my pilot gear to purchase equipment in order to seriously investigate the paranormal.
Doing some searching on the internet, I came across a paranormal research group known as
New England Paranormal . This group was giving a
lecture in Boston, MA, and I talked my parents into going with me to the class. I got to meet Steve Gonsalves, the
founder and director of New England Paranormal, and Brian Harnois. Brian was the case manager for
The Atlantic Paranormal Society , also
known as TAPS.
After informing Steve of my love for the paranormal, he in turn offered me a place on the New England Paranormal team. Wholeheartedly I
accepted, and not too long afterwards, I was promoted to Case Manager. A couple of years after joining the group I was
promoted to Co-Director of New England Paranormal and now teach the class that I had signed up for only a few years back.
Due to my friendship with Steve and Brian and the rapport I had with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, the founders of TAPS,
I was offered the opportunity of a lifetime...to be part of their television show on the Sci-Fi network, known as
Ghost Hunters .
And most recently, Jason Hawes promoted me to Director of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), and I will remain with New England Paranormal as Senior Advisor.
..
Interests: Flying, Cooking, Shooting pool, Hanging with my friends from NEP & TAPS, and playing Heavy Metal guitar.
Music: I love Ozzy, Rob Zombie, Van Halen (with David Lee Roth), Motley Crue and many other metal bands.
Movies: The Indiana Jones trilogy, the Star Wars saga, Jurassic Park, Top Gun, Caddyshack, National Treasure, Biloxi Blues (favorite comedy of all time), Pirates of the Carribean, there are just so many.
Television: I guess it's a given that I have to say Ghost Hunters. I also loved the X-Files with, and without, David Duchovny. Basically any show on the paranormal, whether it be a reality show or not, is something I'd watch.
Books: Sadly, I haven't been reading very much in quite some time, other than books on a particular subject matter.
Heroes: I think you can find heroes just about anywhere. You have the heroes of 9/11, the heroes that keep this country free, the heroes that teach our children in school five days a week, and even the heroes that show our children right from wrong and turn them into future pillars of our society...the moms and dads of the world.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd love to meet Steven Spielberg. Since my teens years, another dream of mine had been to become a film director and he is definitely one of the best. I would also like to meet Ozzy, he is one of the funniest fu**er's out there and his music seriously kicks a$$!
