A Famous quote both from the movies and from music, which ever you choose to pick, Skandal who thrives off both has truly developed a unique style based around this simple philosophy.Inspired over a decade ago but the early 90's brand of Pop Rap. Very soon after realising that there was much more to be appreciated, he picked up House of Pain, Cypress Hill, Naughty by Nature, Ice Cube, Dr Dre and of course the Legendary Wu Tang Clan's '' Enter the Wu Tang ''. The LP not only absorbed the artist in the art of Mc'ing but would later prove to be a large inspiration in his whole style and persona.Jungle - Drum and Bass had always been there at school, at the time of it's true explosion in 94 he was more involved in researching the Rap Phenomenon. In 1997 towards his latter teen years he heard the UK Garage anthems ''Destiny'' and ''My Desire'', whilst an unknown group of DJ's and Mc's played to house party, a captivated youngster watched and learnt. Later that same year the DnB Mic style of Hyper D, Fearless, Skiba and Det stood up and took prime place in his listening.The following year the Jungle had taken over completely, going to raves every month, writing lyrics and performing at events in college. Linking up with his collective called One Trak Mind, the following years Skandal embarked on a journey further into the realm of Drum and Bass. Living the culture. Traveling all over the UK and world spreading his style.As everything moves in circles, he came full cycle and is now working in the studio on a number of different projects inspired deeply by his early days as a Rap Kid. The projects are untitled by genre, only defined by his unique style and tenacity to flow within the boundaries of the Hip Hop and UK Dance culture. Watch this space!! ..
