Just Another Guitar Player from Texas.

About Me

Basically I'm just another guitar player from Texas, although my card says "Guitarist , Singer, Songwriter, Producer.
I've been singing since I can remember and playing guitar since age 8. I've been performing since about 9 or 10. I made my first recording at 12. It went vinyl ! Although I majored in music during college, I don't think it hurt my playing much.
I'm not working with anyone in particular right now. I'm freelance playing as well as songwriting & producing albums both for others and myself.
My most recent project was production of an album for Katelyn Hobson entitled Get Lost With You which was released in 2006. You can hear two of those tracks on this site and a few more on her myspace page; myspace.com/khobson . Then you can buy your copy on her website at; www.katelynhobson.com or www.cdbaby.com
I've also recently been working on my own album again. I hope to have it out sometime before the end of my life. Hopefully I'll get some samples on here soon.
As far as what I'm interested in, that would be guitars, music, watching my kids grow & prosper, submarines, history and trivia. I have a reasonable collection of guitars and a mind that has been described as a vast storehouse of useless information. I enjoy all types of music when done well and respect any true musician in any style. I can't really stomach fakers, liars and frauds and I just don't have time for buttholes anymore. (then what am I doing in the music business?)
I'm interested in meeting musicians, performers and fans of good music. As I said, style doesn't really matter but quality does. So if you at all enjoy what I do, let me know. I'd love to hear what you do.
In the meantime, thanks for listening.
This guy hand-builds some of the best guitars on planet earth;
The Allman Brothers Band at the Filmore East 1970
This has to be one of the best bands ever!
