About Me

Just moved back to England after living in Bordeaux, playing with my band, Beautiful Lunar Landscape. I also taught English at the university there. Sometimes it was good, other times it was less good. On the whole, teaching can be fun. I am trying to eat every part of the pig before I die, but at the Chinese supermarket the other day I saw a packet of tails that didn't look enticing at all. And my sister told me recently 'Ben - you are in for a shock. I have found a Chinese supermarket which sells the sex organs of the pig. Both varieties.'

My Interests

Other than music, food (going to the market and cooking for friends), reading (at the moment more Cruz-Smith and some other trash), football (Fiorentina and Grimsby) and procrastinating from whatever I should be doing by reading obscure news on the internet.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Robert Smith, PJ Harvey and Jason Lytle so we could write a song together. I'd like to meet the guy who nicked my laptop so I could kick his face. I'd like to meet someone who spends more than 3/4 of the year in an igloo, and I'd like to go for a drink with Iain Banks, Philip Pullman and Richard Dawkins all at the same time. Oh and I'd like to meet Gabriel Batistuta to play penalties with him.
