Lama

Lama is Nils Martin Larsen.
a 21 year old musician living in Oslo.
born and raised in the little coastal city of Larvik, a pretty little city where the stars are bright and the water is clear.
I started my musical "journey" when i was only 4 years old.
i took up piano lessons with this really crazy lady called Manion. she made me practise really hard ,and i didnt really like her.
but now , as im actually old enough to play i can see that i should probably thank her a great deal.
the next step to developing what has turned in to a addiction of learning new instruments , was picking up the saxophone at age 8.
and it keeps adding on.
i feel its nice to be able to play different instruments to be able to express exactly what i want to.
Live however , Lama is an explosion of nice things. And in addition to Nils , there are 4 people to thank for that. Those four wonderful people are ;

"Nils Martin Larsen is a unique talent that up to now primarily has been famous for playing the keys in electronica jazz collective Jaga Jazzist, into which he was inducted at the age of eighteen. Three years down the road he has produced a handful of good songs which he presents in a world he refers to as Lamaland. On stage he has with him four other musicians who, in combination with the light design of Nils Martin’s brother, create a very special audiovisual live experience. Lama gave a very concert at Oslo venue Blå earlier this month, and we simply had to book them. When seeing Lama live, one can’t help but think of other quality acts. There’s no doubt that Lama is inspired by both Sigur Rós and Mew as well as Jaga Jazzist and Kim Hiorthøy. If you like one or more of these artists, then you’re sure to dig Lama.

Now Lama has made it with sparks and fireworks onto the live-scene. after one extremly sucessful show at Blå , Oslo , Lama now tries to book as many shows as possible. Lama live is a thing to see.
