THE SICKEST PRODUCER IN THE SOUTH - R.I.P. PIMP-C

About Me

A PRODUCT OF THE SYSTEM (Written by Chuck "AMMO" Jones)----------- When underground hip-hop fans and mainstream rap fans alike hear the term, Southern Hip-hop, a typical and sadly predictable scenario of over-hyped blingage automatically appears. Its been and is still being done to death. The whole notion of it cant help but make the truly talented and gifted ponder the new millennium question, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO HIP-HOP?!!! Real hip-hop is losing and its gonna take an artist with the strength of God and the wrath of HELL to save it---------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------- Enter D-A, widely known on the underground Houston poetry scene as YEUQRAN. He is a phenomenal producer, writer, poet, singer, bona-fide MC, owner of Iron Lion Music LLC and former member of an ill-promoted, very slept-on, ahead of their time, Houston-based rap group called THE BLAC MONKS. (Secrets of the Hidden Temple 1994) He is the probably the Souths, if not all of hip-hops, best forgotten secret and a formidable adversary to any of the current @ss-produced rappers polluting the airwaves and infesting the charts. You want crunk club bangers? He's gottem. You need soulful soundtracks? Look no further. You say you gotta have some "world-coming-to-an-end", fight-music? That's nothin but a word. With the innovative production he delivers YEUQRAN could be the new standard to which most hip-hop and rap artists in the deep south should measure their own styles. His unique, commanding voice, ruthless delivery, clever wordplay, next level tracks, dynamic performance and charisma cannot be denied. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ With this much talent coming from one man trying to stay afloat in a sea of sonic syrup, something has got to give. Yeuqran literally takes a dying art-form, gives it a new meaning and purpose and drives it home like a bulletproof tank through an American Idol recording session. YEUQRANs ominous yet simple production literally shuts down and destroys the current cut-n'-paste rappin', pro-tools-dependant competition. But maybe thats the wake-up call needed to bring true hip-hop BACK to the fore-front in 2007. If so, God have mercy on the unimaginative, untalented, sample-NEEDING-beat-maker thats got his own, because real, original music is coming back, with a vengeance. Behold an Iron Lion, for the man who sits upon him is HELL,...and hip-hop follows with him. They call him,..YEUQRAN. " --------(Chuck "AMMO" Jones out)
