I am especially hoping to meet others who take an interest in fitness as well as those who live near me (I'm near Valley Forge and King of Prussia) and might want to join me in working out, walking/hiking, karaoke, etc.

Some of my favorite vocal artists/bands:
Kelly Clarkson, JoDee Messina, Lonestar, Big Will, Faith Hill, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Joshua Kadison, Survivor, Ann Murry, Edwin McCain, Kenny G, Shirley Horne, Yanni, and Steven Halpern are some of my most listened to albums. I LOVE musical theatre (Les Miserables, Ms Saigon, Phantom, etc.) and have seen at least 30 to 40 shows on Broadway. I enjoy most music - pretty much anything but heavy metal/acid rock. Also, while I simply love some country, I can't stand what most people think of as traditional country - if there's a "yee haw" in it or calls for line dancing or square dancing, count me out! LOL
When Harry Met Sally, Prince of Tides, The Lion King and most Disney movies, most anything by the Tim Burton or the Cohen Brothers, A Simple Plan, Magnolia, most Broadway/theatre on DVD's when it can be found (Passion, Cats, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Victor Victoria, etc.). I so enjoy watching movies - anything but most scary flicks or movies with no story lines.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville, Veronica Mars, Grey's Anatomy, Charmed, Friends, Seinfeld. I rarely watch TV, but I do enjoy watching the complete seasons of various shows. Being in bed for almost a year straight following three rounds of reconstructive surgeries, I had a lot of time on my hands and found watching the shows comforting - similar to reading a long novel with great character development, but with less need/ability to focus for long periods of time.
I've always been what some might call a bookworm. I tend to read by author and love reading long fiction/novels with a strong focus on character development. My favorite authors include Stephen King, John Irving, Dean R. Koontz, Mary Higgins Clark, and J.K. Rowlings. In terms on non-fiction, my husband's and my bookshelves are lined with books on art, poetry, birding and nature, hiking, gardening and more. I'm currently reading the 5th Harry Potter book, "The Underdog" by Julia Szabo, and the latest book about Andrew Wyeth and his artwork.
