Since their foundation in 1994 Heiligenblut are cruising through the Alternative landscape, continuously making their way through clubs and stages in and around Austria. Their gripping, high levelled Indie Rock is influenced by bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, The Notwist and Slut.On stage they guarantee a convincing performance full of mood and power – the guitars sometimes fragile and accentuated then suddenly rising up to walls of sound streaked with intelligent sound programmings and charismatic vocals.The band’s latest album “one zero love”, produced by German sound mastermind Mario Thaler, got an award for the best album at the “Austrian Newcomer Award” and resulted in a nomination for the “Amadeus Award” (category “Best Alternative Act”).Several invitations to international festivals, e.g. the Launch Event of the big worldwide “Global Battle Of Bands” in London and the “Pfingst Theatron Festival” at the Olympic Park in Munich followed.Heiligenblut are more than a quiet tip – come on, check them out …
