Have a good time all the time!!

About Me

I am originally from Southwest Michigan and moved to Chicago for awhile to learn Blues and am now back in Michigan. My Grandmother used to deliver The Detroit News to Tiger Hall of Famer Charlie Gehringer and my Grandfather used to cut Hall of Famer Hank Greenbergs grass when they both were growing up in Detroit. I grew up down the road from Muhammed Ali who bought an old farm that Al Capone used in his heyday and he turned it into his training camp. So as a youngster I used to watch him train for some of his upcoming matches and was even able to get in the ring with him, he was just lucky I was so young or I'd of kicked the shit out of him!! hahaha Maybe that's who I learned some of my trash talking from. I started taking piano lessons when I was about 7 and learned to play the trombone soon after. I started playing guitar when I was about 14 and have picked up a few other stringed instruments along the way. Anyways I got into too much trouble in smalltown USA and my lawyer advised me to move to Chicago so I did and haven't been in trouble since!! LOL I miss my friends in Chicago and even though they are mostly all Cubs and Sox fans they're alright I guess. It made life interesting being a Detroit fan in Chicago. Obviously I like baseball alot and love attending games or chilling at the bar or even at home watching. The first game I attended as a kid was a Nolan Ryan no-hitter against the Tigers and fortunatly I don't remember it. I currently play blues for an artist who calls himself Chicago Babe and have played acoustic sets with other musicians throughout the city. I also played in a band called The Sagtown Hustlers here in Chicago where I gave a shout out live on ESPN Chicago radio to the then and "soon to be again" World Champion Pistons on the air. The hosts of the show who are pretty funny guys (Silvy and Carmen didn't like that too much but then again when you have a bunch of guys playing live on your show from Michigan what do you think is gonna happen!!!) Hahaha Right now I am working on recording a bunch of songs that I have written that are hopefully playing now. I also write many different styles of music because I have so many different influences so make sure to listen to more than just one song you can hear some of my other music at myspace.com/briansprung. I am available for recording sessions, playing live or songwriting in any style. Always up for new projects and challenges so if you have lyrics written and wanna record something, need someone to play live or just someone to jam with get at me and let's have some fun!! Go Tigers!!!
