Sell the Lions !!

Help stop the losing

About Me

Hey all you long suffering Lions fans lets join together and help stop this losing. You can put some of the blame on on all the shitty players, coaches and GM's we have had through all of the years but the fact is the only man who has been there the whole time is William Clay Ford....the Lions will never ever win until this man is gone.

S.T.L: Matt how are you doing?MM: I have a sweet mustache!STL: ooook. Matt in your own words describe for the fans the state of the Lions.MM: Well Michiagn looks like a mittenSTL: No I mean the current affairs of the teamMM: HA...Well I think everyone knows all pro athletes have affairsSTL: Lets move on Matt lets talk about the Lions record since you have been here 25-75, what does that mean to you?MM: Consistancey, no one in the leauge has been more consistant since I became GM.STL: But you consistantly lose.MM: See your looking at the glass half empty...I perfer to like at that year in and year out we get a top 10 pick in the draft......it provids more excitment in the offseasonSTL: Matt how do you feel about the fire Millen chants?MM: HUH? What chants?STL: The ones during every home game for the past three years.MM: OH well I am usually watching barny and coloring in my coloring book during the games, the Lions are a pretty boring team to watch and I know the will lose anyway.STL: Good point, Matt while many people place the blame on you, many believe the Lions will not be good until Mr. Ford sells the team, Has he ever given any indication to you he may sell the teamMM: Well actually, we just talked about this yesterday and he told me he would probably sell the team once Barry Sanders retires.STL: But..... Nevermind, Matt you have have hired three diffrent coaches since you have been here, explain the process you go through when hiring a coach.MM: Well the first thing I do is find a black guy to interview so I don't get in trouble again. I usually just ask an athlete from one of the other Detroit teams to do it just cause the're close. Like last year I first went to the Red Wings to find a black guy to interview but I couldn't find one. So I went to the Tigers and I ended up interviewing that Tayshaun Prince guy.STL: Tayshaun plays for the PistonsMM: Yeah I know he is a really could hitter, but anyway during the interview I could not decide if he was black or not, so just to be safe a interviewed a black homeless guy I found on the street.STL: OK now that we got that out of the way how did you settle on Rod MarinelliMM: Easy all you have to do to be the Lions head coach is have your name start with an M, like Marty, Mooch, and now RodSTL: why should it matter if their names starts with M?MM: Well I would really like to get and advertsing deal with the candy M&M, I would really love to meet those two m&m's on the comerciala know the Red, and yellow ones, so I figure what better way then to hire a coach with M.STL: Lets talk about your draft picks. Some have worked out some have not, I am going to say a name and tell me the process you went through in choosing to draft that guy. Charles Rogers?MM: Well that one was pretty simple in was between him and Andrae Johnson, we thought we would just pick the guy who came from the more winning program in college.STL: But Rogers came from Michigan State and Johnson came from Miami where he won a National title.MM: He did? when did Miami of Ohio win a National title? Well Charles bought his pot off me so that was a nother reasonSTL: Joey HarringtonMM: Well I was sold on Joey when I went to visit him before the draft and he played for me on his piano "Hold me Closer Tiny Dance" by Elton John, then he stroked my mustache ever so gently when he was done. I mean the guy was amzing on the piano how can you pass up a talent like thatSTL: Wow that was gay moving on Roy WilliamsMM: Well he is a great college basketball coachSTL: No Matt the reciver you draftedMM: oH YEAH him well what can you say you can talk about your T.O.'s, Chad Johnsons and your Steve Smiths, but when it comes to celebrating first downs no one in the leauge is betterSTL: I'll give ya that, Mike Williams?MM: Well Mike was an easy pick too, I mean Mel Kiper had him as the number one player in the draft, and many of the magazines had him in the top three so when he fell to us I knew we had to take him.STL: Well what did your scouts have to say about him though because he is clearly not the best player out of the draft.MM: Oh well I don't know what the scouts said they were way to busy selling cookies at that time.STL: Enie Simms?MM: Well Ernie was my faveorite sesamee street character so thats why I chose him, I can't wait for big bird to enter they draft that guys is gonna make for a hell of a reciverSTL: What are your plans for the draft this yearMM: Well usually I look for a reciver or a guy named Williams but this year I was going to make a shocking pick and draft Jeff Samarga with the number two overall pick but he told me he thought he would have a better chance winning championship with the Cubs in baseball so he signed with them once I told him I was going to draft himSTL: Well thats too bad what are you going to do nowMM: Well there is Johnson I love those recivers, but I think I am leaning more towards two guys one is Brady Quinn, the guy has won so many big games in his career, I mean army, navy, air force, these are teams that other countries finiest could not beat and Brady is leading his team to victory every time.STL: Yeah good logic on that one Matt who is the other guy you are targeting?MM: Well as you know our running backs have been getting hurt lately so we are looking for some durability at that position who better to give us that durability than Adrian Peterson?STL: Yeah cause he only misses four games a yearMM: What?STL: Matt one last question? Give the Lions fans some hope before you goMM: Sure. Fans we are close this has been our closest year yet, but I promis you next year the Lions will finally get over the hump and grab that number one overall draft pick
