ICDA = I Can Do Anything

About Me

I am from Guatemala, was born there and moved to Sacramento in 1998, wow 13 years ago. Well what can I say other than I came here to study and got my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I work currently for the State of California in Berkeley and live in Sacramento. Yeah many might think I have a heavy commute, but I do telecommute and that helps me time since it allows me to work on the train. What do I do well I manage projects for DTSC (Department of Toxic Substances Control). On my spare time I just like to have fun. I am Buddhist, which to some might be weird since I came from a Catholic background... I practice with SGI-USA, very liberating practice. I am not saying Catholisism is not, it just wasn't for me, but respect every religion. Oh yeah my name is Alejandro...some call me Alex... I don't mind either way. Gotta say I love video games and am planning to get my PS3 and flat screen this coming year. I've been saving. I also like to camp, go for hikes, and snowboarding. I guess I like to do a lot of things cause I like any activity that is fun. Currently I am a little out of shape, 210 lbs, but just got my bowflex and plan to be where I was 3 years ago. Currently looking to meet someone serious, guess I am ready to settle down and find that one girl who I can share life with? Wow Ok I am writting to much in here... LMAO. If interested or would like to just chat well just email me.
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Found also that my name in Japanese is: Alex japaniksi

My Interests

Lets just say life, life is my main interest... all that it offers... Right now I am learning Salsa, Merengue, Rumba, East coast and West Coast swing, and Waltz. Ohhh did I mention the Tango?

Music:

All types of music really, don't know when it comes to music I can't descriminate... even when I don't like the whole song, there might be little parts that sound good.

Movies:

Movies are something I like to enjoy. Any good movie will do.

Television:

I like some shows, Heroes, Journey man, Life, UF, live commedy, and a times a good scifi.

Books:

I try to be an avid reader but right now I am not reading a lot... I do read a lot of magazines or book projects since I am remodeling a bathroom at home. So home improvement books is the type of reading I am doing right now.

Heroes:

Well in addition to my Mom and Dad, every person that has contribute to the peace effort. Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Daisaku Ikeda, Josei Toda, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, Nelso Mandela, Rigoberta Menchu, and so many others, poets, songwritters that bring the truth out in their work and fight for justice.

Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be bri...
