About BigHouse : Born 1979 in Spanish Harlem, New York BigHouse (no goverments Please, not yet), absorbed his enviornment of Hip-Hop and culture in the project of Jefferson. Leaving at a pretty early age then moving to Aurora, Colorado first in 1989 this EmCee had no choice but to find a new found appreciation for different genre's of music such as Jazz, Soul, R&B, Classical... etc. still keeping his love for Hip-Hop and the culture. In 1994 while starting High School, a group of kids with there love of music and smoking L's combined a group which at that time called thereselves, "The ZOO" then changing thier name to the "C.I.A." (Colorado's Intelligent Adversaries), then finding home with "S.O.L.i.D." (Sunz of Light in Darkness). This group was formed from the basis of love of music. "Freestylin' and Rollin' up" is how the group was formed, "Everyday we used to get together, smoke blunts, throw on beats or let Kool put his hands to work bangin' on whateva and freestyle for hours, no lie". S.O.L.i.D. family as a team has been making music together for over a decade and 2006 WILL be there year they make noise. Members of the Unit are EZ, Grimmstone & BigHouse (which currently head the group lyrically), Kool-Aid, Chan, Lil E (also known as Solid), Slimm, L.Q., Infinite, amongst other holdin' the family down.
In 2005 it was an honor for this Emcee to be invited to join one of the premier bands in Colorado, Future Jazz Project, by Drummer Damion Hines (group members: Casey Sidwell/Bass, Greg Harris/Vibraphone/Keys, Greg Raymond/Keys, Damion Hines/Drums, Dae Dae Jones/Vocals, BigHouse/Emcee). The Future Jazz family was then formed creating a fusion of Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Soul music with an undeniable sound. The workings of this group have been in process for almost a year, and all members of this group have formed a bond unbreakable.
Now in 2006 BigHouse is making an effort to bring some light to the streets of Colorado, possibly some unseen exposure to the culture sceen of Denver, and surrounding area's, well actually the whole damn state. It's been too long and it's about time Colorado got it's recognition. BigHouse is attempting to be the person to do it, with all extended family. Dedication is the KEY element.
