The youngest emcee on "2 Live Is Christ Records" at age 24, Born2Di has been given a conviction to use hip-hop as a tool to effectively communicate the gospel message to the urban community. With the hard-hitting track "314", Born2Di communicates the need for forgiveness of sins (3 nails + 1 cross = 4giveness) while putting in a plug for St. Louis. And the track "Rain Falls" addresses the question of GOD’s sovereignty in how He can allow bad things to happen to “innocent†people and still be good.Not only does Born2Di plan to evangelize the unsaved with his music, but he also plans to educate and encourage the believer to grow in grace and the knowledge of Christ. Tracks such as "Passion" encourage believers to be willing to share in Christ’s sufferings (passion) and not get caught up in the notion that GOD owes Christians earthly blessings, outside of salvation. "Light My Fire" is a heartfelt track where Born2Di paints his self-portrait of the discouraged Christian crying out to the LORD, who finds peace in the grace and love of Christ.Having done much of the production for his upcoming album, "Apologia", Born2Di shows much potential to make a promising impact on Christian hip-hop. With the theme of his album coming from the Greek word for “answer,†taken from 1 Peter 3:15 Born2Di is looking to show believers and non-believers alike of the hope that he holds fast to.Having recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Born2Di –born Dishon Romar Knox – currently is pursuing a Masters in Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary here in St. Louis. He also has ambitions of becoming more involved in Urban/Youth ministry.
