Hello friends!
Thanks to all of you that have joined us on this amazing musical journey over the years. Yes, it's true that Oak Street will not be performing as an entity anytime soon, although its members continue to share their music in their unique, individual ways. Please continue to check in here to see what they're all up to. First and foremost, Oak Street was, and remains to be, a community. Just because the band is on hiatus doesn't mean that the music will stop, or that the people that have enriched this experience cease to exist. Who knows what the future may hold? Life is long, and years from now there may be a time when the band will get back together to breathe life into the tunes with which we have become so familiar.
In a way, the dissemination of Oak Street is a great thing for the musical community. Everyone in this band posesses too much talent for it to be confined to a single musical expression. With the newly given aire comes the space for music to develop that may never have been heard if Oak Street were the sole outlet for all of our creativity.
So, think of the glass half full! We cannot begin to describe how much we appreciate your support. We love you all! See you out there....
