I write to unleash the demons that still lurk in my soul
Pushing me to the point where I lose control
I write because it keeps me sane and out of jail
Keeps me on point, so my life I won't fail
I write because sometimes I want to be all alone
Just me and my pen, I'll disconnect my phone
I write because for just that little moment in time
I'm on top of the world, and the world in mine
I write because ink dries faster than tears
And I'm tired of crying throughout these years
I write to express the true love that's in my heart
Even though as a child my heart was torn apart
I write so that others can know my story
Stay a soilder through it all..show them no worry
I write to someday hopefully see
I made a difference in a life with my poetry
