About Me

Hmmm... Once upon a time, my friends and I lived in a movie. We still haven't woken up. Have we?I WOULD RATHER READ THE LEGEND.NONE OF THIS IS REAL.I LOVE HISTORY AND WRITING, BUT...I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO CULINARY SCHOOL.HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN HERE NOW?To revel in the unspoken flicker of subtle moments in time is to glimpse the infinite and primal bond that all things crave reunion of, found in a passing glance.A SEVERELY OPPRESSIVE ENVIRONMENT...FOSTERS A HEALTHY SENSE OF REBELLION.A CULTURAL REVOLUTION DOESN'T HAVE TO FIGHT, TO WIN.THE BEST ART IS USUALLY A REACTION AGAINST THE REGIME.ITS ALWAYS A NEW REVOLUTION, FOR THE NEW GENERATION.AESTHETICS DEFINE ETHICS.THERE'S NOTHING QUITE LIKE THE FEEL OF SOMETHING NEW.IS IT ORIGINALITY, OR AUTHENTICITY THAT MATTERS?I'M A HISTORIAN AND WATCH WITHOUT JUDGMENT. ALMOST.Love in many forms, incalculable, transcendent of blasphemous definition or restraint, binding us all deeply and without consideration for our petty social divisions. It acts within us and demands we find each other for the salvation of what we create together, a formula of chaotic life that demands we face that divine spark of affectionate bond, deliverance through each other.VOODOO IS COOL.NAPALM IN THE MORNING SMELLS LIKE VICTORY.YOU WAKE UP, IN L.A.X.NONE OF THIS IS REAL.GENESIS P-ORRIDGE AND I SHOULD HANG OUT.YOU WAKE UP, IN BOWLING GREEN.Where is the fiery celebration of life and lust that should be shaking the foundations of sensibility? Why am I alone in my struggle for luscious ameliorate. No club, no nightlife, no glitter, not even any late night talk of life and love, struggle for beauty and endless pursuit of the divine. All of this left with you. Now I am alone and dulled, moderate, neutral in grays and beiges.THIS IS A TEST.THERE IS NO SPOON.YOUR MOM.I KNOW THIS, BECAUSE TYLER KNOWS THIS.SECURITY IS A MYTH.GEDE AT THE CROSSROADS.PROVE ANYTHING.CHICKEN.WORM-MOUSE.DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER.EVERY LIVING THING ON EARTH DIES ALONE.STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON.THIS IS THE END.THERE IS NO END.THE STREAM STANDS STILL.ARE YOU STILL READING THIS STUFF?I AM HUNGRY.SILENCE!GUARDS, SEIZE HIM!DOOM!DOOM, DOOM, DOOOOOOM!GOD, I LOVE THAT WORD.I HAVE TO KEEP THE WALL WET!IT DRIES, DON'T YOU SEE?WHERE WAS I?OH YEAH... DOOM!ABSENCE IS THE MASTER.HAVE YOU EVER SEEN, A PORTAL?

My Interests

Pleasant company, crowds, fun, nightlife, excitement, adventure, Doom, Good movies, Spicy food, Good books, controversy, cooking, writing, Oblivion, Ancient Greece and Rome, Doom, plants and flowers (awww...), art history, large scale social functions, consumption of alcoholic beverages, late nights, life changing breakthroughs and reality bending perspectives, your mom...

I'd like to meet:

Andy and Edie.Your Mom (or anyone who is interesting. This means you, lets be friends.)

Music:

I am particularly fond of sad and moody music. Shoegaze is my single favorite genre, but I listen to lots of indie stuff, punk sub-genres, glam, goth, ambient and experimental, prog, electronic and industrial, anything that leaves a deep emotional resonance-- and especially if melancholy, with a pretty melody. However, I also have a morbid fascination with the wicked and trashy. And sexy. My favorite bands change weekly, but I am always obsessed with them at the time. I love to talk about music, so feel free to ask, tell or comment.

Don't watch much... ok, I love Star Trek. Yes, that’s right, TOS, Enterprise, TNG, DS9, I am a complete and utter Star Trek nerd. Ok, there, I typed it. Voyager is my favorite. I play with toy phasers and make laser noises. I wonder why they didn't emit a tachyon field or how they invented inertial dampeners. 7 of 9 for president. Anyone else? Hello?

Books:

A brilliant new author named Solomon Deems, The Iliad and the Oddysey, The Aeneid, Cicero, Herodotus, The Brilliant Frank Herbert: Every one of the Dune books, Earnest Hemmingway (particularly "The Sun Also Rises"), Margaret Atwood (Oryx and Crake),Faulkner, Anais Nin, Chuck Palahniuk, Joseph Conrad (*Heart of Darkness), A Clockwork Orange, Tolkien, Watership Down, Douglas Adams, Nearly averything by Anne Rice (back off...) Henry Miller

Non-fiction books on religion/religions (Buddhism, Taoism, Apocrypha, Pseudopegrypha) metaphysics, mythology (Greek/Roman, Norse), occult science (especially DisInformation books), cooking and cookbooks (especially mexican and thai)

The back of cereal boxes... um, words... ok, I never learned to read... allright? I haven't read any of this stuff, I just don't want everyone to laugh at me. I figure, all the good books get made into movies, right?

So, I have heard so many people tell me they hated the new Marie Antoinette movie, but after Liam Kemp's suggestion (and thanks again), I went ahead and watched it. I should first point out that I ma...
