About Me

Hi my name is Linda Urban. I am orginally from Maryland and after 50 years of living decided to buy my first guitar which sparked an interest in sound. I am not trained like most musicians here but I have an innate rhythm inside my soul. I have always listened and danced to music since I was a child and that has not stopped. I have experienced many hardships and found that music has always had a healing and comforting effect on me. I am a loner by nature and a social extrovert, not to mention a dreamer. I only allow people I trust to really know me. I don't care for drama and try to avoid it as much as possible. I believe in truth, honestly, morality, and basic human kindness. I don't play games and I don't care for people that do. I have had enough pain to endure in this life that I deserve some peace now that I am older. My heart may be a stone, but my soul soars! I love my family and the few friends that have always been there for me with love and without judgement. I came to Austin, Texas in 2004 from Ocean City Maryland. I love Austin, but I still miss standing on the beach and watching the morning sunrise over the Atlantic. Diving in the breakers and feeling the rejuvenation as you wade in the salt water. The sensation of the water being absorped in the Sun leaving salt crystals on your skin. It is cleansing for both the body and soul! It has taken me many years to discover who I am and I love who I am finally! Dreamer and all!! You can beat me down, but I won't die.
