About Me

Aside from my night job as a costumed crime-fighter, I spend a great deal of my time wrapped up in one creative endeavor or another or procrastinating on said creative endeavors. I've been a professional Pixel Wrangler for the past 7 years or so doing everything from animation, 3D modeling to boring ass html programming and hand modeling. Versatile... perhaps? I'm a transplanted Yankee with dreams of escaping Texas one day in the future. Or... Should I get a cowboy hat, big belt buckle, become a Republican and roll with it? I dunno... I threw myself back into the world of college awhile back and I love it. My first degree from the Truck Driving School of Art was worthwhile and helped me get into a great position, but I need to do more now. The quest to better myself never really ends, I guess... Figuring out how to work a 40hr week again, instead of the usual 60. Annnd, getting my flippin' designer vinyl idea into production.

Music:

Leaving Summer 2000SEX, I'm currently rocking out to Girl Talk's Night Ripper, Cansei De Ser Sexy, bits and pieces of the new Outkast and DJ Shadow albums, THE ROOTS! The Rub DJs, A new Z-Trip mix, CUT CHEMIST, Tribe Called Quest's Low End Theory, Gnarls Barkley (still in rotation), Goapele, Bill Withers and whenever I get lonley for the L (which is pretty much always) I throw on a new old mix of Motown love songs.

Movies:

Currently on a Clint Eastwood/spaghetti western kick... For a fistfull of Dollars, A few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.

Television:

Battlestar Galactica, catching up on Entourage... whatever happens to be on the History Channel or Comedy Central.

Books:

Just wrapped "Can't Stop, Won't Stop." Great book on the history of hip hop showing how and where the music and culture emerged.
