About Me

When boredom strikes, MySpace comes to the rescue...
In those moments the French call "free time," I write and produce a video web series called Something to Be Desired , a comedy about a group of DJs at an independent radio station in Pittsburgh. It's free to view, so come check it out!
Feel free to IM me: kerouacsitter

My Interests

Film (especially indie or foreign), books (when I have time), politics (when I have no choice), BBC's "The Office," long and pointless arguments about subjective topics, good food and beer, and Achewood .

I'd like to meet:

Aspiring actors and actresses in the Pittsburgh area... (Also, someone willing to hold a boom mic would be nice)... Beyond that, no intelligent conversations are turned away -- unless I'm extremely busy and haven't had my coffee yet...

Music:

Jimmy Eat World, The Constantines, K-OS, Tegan and Sara, Soul Coughing, Tragically Hip, Brand New, Iron & Wine, Califone, The Arcade Fire, DJ Harry, The River Bends, Afrika Bambaatta, The Killers, good underground rap, obscure indie rock, and a little retro band from Austin called The Arm that you've never heard of but probably should...

Movies:

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Donnie Darko, The Sweet Hereafter, Swingers, Closer, SLC Punk, Alphaville, Boogie Nights, Russian Ark (just for the spectacle), Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, A Hard Day's Night, Brotherhood of the Wolf, 24 Hour Party People... You can see my Top 20 List here , and make your own.

Books:

Most of them are film related. The rest are classics I never got to and keep on-hand to read in spurts. Literally. Like a paragraph at a time. Perusing is the new postmodernism.

Heroes:

A Picasso: Review

I went with Ann to see "A Picasso" last night, a new play at the City Theatre. I'm no theatre critic (professionally), but here are my pseudo-artist observations:PITTSBURGH NEEDS TO "YOUNG UP" THE THE...

Mayor O'Connor Passed Away...

Local Pittsburghers will know this by now, but my extended friends may not have heard (or would never have a reason to), so I'll mention it here: in one of the stranger turns of events in recent years...
