I grew up in the hood, South Jamaica Queens, NY. Although it was dangerous I must say I had a good time. I guess that's why they called me Crazy Craig. I lived like a typical youth in the hood. Used drugs, ran the streets wild like a hooligan.
By a miracle from God I found my self at a church youth group after being invited by my cousin Derrick. Initially I went for girls but then the preacher really got my attention. He spoke about how Jesus willingly died on the cross for my sins. I was seventeen years old it was like for the 1st time in my life I understood the who Jesus was and felt God reaching out to me in love through the words from the bible.
In 1987 I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Combining my faith and love for music I began to write Christian Rap songs. I toured throughout the USA, London England, Jamaica W.I. and Cebu Philipines
In 1995 I earned my BA in Psychology from York College C.U.N.Y. While attending York College I was the president of the Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship Club.
In 1996 I was inspired to use the name "son of God" as my stage name while working with the Administration of Children Services in the Bronx at a group home called Crossroads. While working as a house parent I came in contact with one resident there that began to call me "God's Child". So I fliped it into "Son of God" It may also interest you to know that I am mixed with 7 different nationalities. But what matters most is not the color of your skin or your nationality but that you are a son of daughter of God.
I wanted to share my music ministry and touring with youth and help them to grow into knowing God better. So in 1998 I founded an outreach program called Beat N Blessings (www.BeatsNBlessings.com), where I've been training innner city youth in hip-hop production, discipling new artists and teaching the biblical since 1998. Over the years I've held classes in Digital Music Production in various places (Corona Queens, Hillcrest High School, Jamaica YMCA, Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, NY and now in Elmhurst, NY)
Some of the places I've taken the BNB Artists are NY, NJ, PA, Chicago, Indiana and London England.
Over the years I've produced various CD's with many different artists. Many times people ask me when am I going to come out with my solo CD. Honestly I don't know.
