Chicago DJ Mike Pierce grew up listening to and spinning with Producers and DJs that laid the groundwork for the nightlife entertainment available today.
A Chicago native, Mike Pierce started DJing professionally with the explosion of electronic dance music. At the age of 10, he ventured into the art of mixing music, eventually entering the professional realm in 1989, when he was recruited by Life Force, Inc. (later known as Level 12, Inc.). Mike started working the Chicago north side underground circuit, and found residence at Chicago's Red Dog, now known as Ohm. From there, his sensation branched and grew even more. His style graced the ears and hearts of many institutions and venues in addition to numerous after-hours and raves in the city and worldwide. Mike has been resident at and/or featured at leading hot spots in the Windy City, states across the U.S. and countries worldwide as well, performing tight sets thru non computer assisted mixing.
Mike Pierce is mostly known for his vocal/hard hitting grooves, with a style that demonstrates his experience and love of music, extracting energy from deep within the souls of his audience. He gives the listener a comprehensive look at dance music, tying various genres together to create a program that is like him--explosive, yet sincere and intimate.
Mike Pierce is a true musician, with releases including his own D.U.I. Series featured on Cajual/Relief Records, Clashback Records, music production for the group B.B.C. w/Screamin' Rachel on Trax Records, Eps and remixes on Entrance Drive and Hypno Traxx (Chicago/Miami. Live P.A. is not uncommon in many of his sets. His musical knowledge and skill are attributed to being involved in music since age four, playing various instruments. In some venues, Mike incorporates DJs and live musicians (himself included) to present D.U.I. (Dancing Under Influence), a tribute to the on-going effort to offer the best in Electronic Dance Music.
