Scott Kasie is a Milwaukee native, and has always had a love of music. He began at age 12 playing guitar, and later the piano and vocals. This led to an early career in music, playing many genres in high school and beyond. During the late 1990’s, Scott became consumed by dance music. Shortly thereafter, he began mixing and producing electronic music. He has spun genres such as tech house, electro, progressive breaks and progressive house. After he moved to Chicago, he defined which one suited him best. For many years now, he has become rather entrenched in minimal and techno. The good thing about Scott that makes him so appealing is his diversity in electronic music. He soon found himself DJing and performing live at many house and loft parties there in Chicago, developing quite a following for himself in the city; the next step to expand and reach a bigger audience was for him to play in several Chicago night clubs, such as Betty’s Blue Star Lounge, Tini Martini, Chaise Lounge, The Viceroy… Currently, he has relocated and is now living in Miami, heading up an up and coming independent dance label Hypno-Traxx, and is the sound engineer for the radio show “Miami Techno City” broadcasting on Techno.FM. He also does sound design, scoring for film and animation, mastering and DAW mix downs (www.myspace.com/monocleaudio). Expect to hear mixes, some great beats, and a few remixes soon as he is currently in studio.
