I am art's anti-establishment.

About Me

First of all, I am a misfit in every sense.I'm a college student and an artist. I've been both of these for almost 5 years now.I work at a fast food restaurant. I can't say I really like my job, but it helps fund my art projects and my college supplies. Without my job, I may still be able to go to school, but I couldn't afford to make art, so I need it.Me and my girlfriend have been dating since November 20, 2006. Some people tell me this is pretty long for a relationship, but it doesn't feel that way to me. To me, it doesn't matter if a relationship lasts 18 months or 18 years, just as long as your happy.I'm a multimedia artist. I don't just do one kind of style or one type of art. I draw, paint, sculpt, and do mixed mediums such as sculptural paintings. I also work with digital photography and will soon be investing more time into digital art. I do all sorts of things. I'll do abstract art, design art, cartoony stuff, realism, or just about anything I put my mind to.I'm someone who's been influenced by various different cultures and subcultures alike. I'm a westerner who enjoys his independence and individual freedom, yet there's a lot things I admire about the Japanese and their culture. Their work ethic, their willingness to perfect what they do have effected my life and a lot of other things about them have as well. Some people have the mistaken belief that I'm "Goth" because my choice of clothing fits the stereotypical image of someone who's Goth, but in my mind, I'm more Punk than anything. However, there are things about the Goth subculture I can identify with and that I believe. That being said, my style in clothes, is just that, a style that I choose and doesn't represent any kind of subculture. Like I said, I look at many different cultures and subcultures and find the things I can identify with.I'm a self proclaimed "Fiend". I'm a huge fan of horrorpunk bands like The Misfits, Balzac, Blitzkid, and other bands as well. I got into this stuff when I was about 20 and regretted the fact that I didn't find out about a lot of these bands when I was in high school. I like the idea of fusing the two things I like a lot into one awesome formula; horror movies, stories, ect and punk rock.I play a lot of video games, but I'm not as hardcore as I used to be. I don't have time to be like that anymore. Although I still know a lot of the useless things that only a fanboy or a nerd would know about.I consider myself Straight Edge. I don't smoke, drink, or do any drugs. I chose this lifestyle for reasons of my own and although a lot of young people around my age may not understand why I choose to live this way, I feel I have good reasons.I'll type more whenever I feel like itI edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
