Behind the paint will be the shell of a used up man

About Me

i'm 6' tall, blond hair, inquisitive blue eyes shrouded by high-tech light-bending plastics. I like to hang out with friends, watch movies, play poker, get hyphy and wax intellectual, and plot the conquest of the world.

When im by myself i try to absorb as many books, news, and information as i can, expand my music collection, catch up on the latest podcasts, and watch dvd's.

My Interests

Computers (100% Mac Geek), the internet, playing as much texas hold 'em as i can, hanging out with my Juggalos, MST3k'ing bad movies with Mario (ever seen Active Stealth?), expanding my music collection, photography, reading, sleeping in on saturdays, Jamba Juice whenever i can, making people laugh, and generally causing trouble around Da No.

Plus a lot more stuff thats either too geeky to get into or the government has asked me not to talk about.

I'd like to meet:

Im looking to meet some new local people for dating, fun, or whatever...I don't get along too well with people who are ignorant, self-centered or humorless.

A good sense of humor is one of the most important traits a person can have; those you cant laugh at a bad situation are in bad shape. Almost more than anything i love to hear a woman laugh! All of my friends are funny as hell so its always a good time! Im very friendly, send me a message!

Music:

New TMBG album, "The Else" in stores NOW!!!

i try to keep an open mind about music and listen to every different type of music as i can. I think the music on the radio pretty much sucks nowadays (thank god again for the iPod) and radio in fresno really sucks!

Some of the bands i listen to frequently starting with my most favorite: They Might be Giants, Liz Phair, Velocity Girl and Sarah Shannon, Bad Religion, That Dog., nofx, weezer, Public Enemy, Green Day, Bloodhound Gang, Calamine, REM, Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, Yukmouth, Poe, Wu Tang Clan, 10,000 Maniacs, Dance Hall Crashers, Eminem, Beastie Boys, The Muffs, Insane Clown Posse, The Dead Milkmen, Ice Cube, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Blondie, mc chris, The White Stripes, KRS-One...

Besides music i listen to a lot of standup comedy. Lewis Black, Bill Maher, David Cross, Jon Stewart, Dane Cook, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, David Spade, Jim Gaffigan, Mike Birbiglia, Robert Schimmel, Mitch Hedberg (RIP), Dave Attell, and Patton Oswalt.

I also try to keep up on several podcasts when i have time:
Left, Right and Center
Martini Shot
Wait, wait...Don't Tell Me!
Rounders Poker Podcast
60 sec Science
This American Life
The Ricky Gervais Show
Science Friday

Movies:

Some of my favorites from the last few years:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (i'm in love with Kate Winslet)
Lord of the Rings (duh)
Crash (wow!), Requiem for a Dream (double wow!)
Spider-Man 1 and 2, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Beyond the Sea, K-Pax, The Life of David Gale (im a huge Kevin Spacey fan)
Hard Boiled, The Replacement Killers
Wedding Crashers, The 40 year old Virgin, Dumb and Dumber
Memento, American Beauty, Forest Gump, Kinsey
anything by Bryan Singer (X-Men, Usual Suspects)
anything by Kevin Smith (Mallrats, Clerks)
anything by Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock..., Snatch)
anything by Akira Kurosawa (The Seven Samurai, Ran)
anything by Quentin Tarantino
anything by Mel Brooks (Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles)

...on and on and on. I love movies!

Television:

Buy Futurama: Bender's Big Score on dvd today!!
I recently got hooked on Lost, acquiring all 3 seasons on dvd recently, Heroes (just as addicting as 24). The Simpsons (still the funniest show on American tv, fuck the haters), 24 (best drama on tv), 30 Rock (watch this show!!!), How I Met Your Mother (SUIT UP!!!), Family Guy, Anything on Adult Swim (ATHF!!, Squidbillies, Futurama, Home Movies, Venture Bros. The Boondocks...animation rocks!), Real Time with Bill Maher (you should be watching this show!), Reno 911!, The Office (UK and US), Trailer Park Boys (way too funny for the US, broadcast in Canada. Get it on dvd and laugh yourself stupid), Greg The Bunny (Fox and IFC), My Name is Earl (can you believe Fox passed on this?), Scrubs, Good Eats (Alton Brown rules the kitchen!), The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (also mandatory watching), Mythbusters (and just about anything else on Discovery or TLC...feed your brain!), The Conan O'Brien Show (the funniest white man on Earth)...i could go on and on...anyone who says television rots your brain is watching the wrong shit.

Books:

I love to read and i wish i had more time to sit down with a good book. Thank goodness for audiobooks :)
I just finished The Hunt for Red October and The Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy. TSOAF was freaking awesome!!!
Anything by William Gibson (Neuromancer, Count Zero, Virtual Light) JRR Tolkien (Lord of the Rings, duh...), Shogun by James Clavell and anything sci-fi or cyberpunk. I also do a lot of non-fiction whenever i can. Brian Greene (Fabric of the Cosmos, The Elegant Universe), John Horgan (The Undiscovered Mind), im very interested in things like cosmology, physics, psychology, science and anything else that strikes my fancy. Also, i just read The DaVinici Code (i was late to the party) and i loved it.
The last few audiobooks i have heard are: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter Thompson, "The Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned" by Anne Rice, "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain and i just started "Tai Pan" by James Clavell and i've listened to all of the Harry Potter books (all read exquisitely by Jim Dale). I did, however buy and read the hardback when it came out.

Heroes:

Steve Jobs, Phil Hartman (RIP), Bill Clinton, William Gibson, Stephen Hawking, Bill Maher, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart, Al Gore, Matt Groening, John Flansburg and John Linnell from They Might be Giants, Ricky Gervias, Al Frankin...all good hearted liberals ; )
