Beyond Pluto

The BP EP - AVAILABLE ON CD BABY!!!

About Me

"Beyond Pluto" is a hip hop duo that goes down a path much different than the typical rappers associated within their genre. The music they make is an attempt to reach down deep, hold back nothing, and say what many don't in a way that's not sugar coated or overloaded with figurative language. They don't rhyme words simply because they sound cool together. They rhyme words people can understand but most importantly, they rhyme what they feel... That's the "BP" style.
It's disheartening to see people give up on hip hop. The possibilites of what artists can do in this realm are endless. There's more roads to be travelled that people need to explore. Frequently their hip hop style is blended with a variety of genres such as reggae, rock, techno, ambient, experimental, turntablism, and so on.
The duo consists of "Too Juicy" and "Faint Acquaintance". "Too Juicy" is a rapper who has been deeply submerged under the underground hip hop scene. He perfected his skills for three years, waiting for the right time and the right partner to unleash material. In his three years of somewhat verbal solitude, he recorded five cds. However, almost all of his material was recorded over unaffirmed beats by underground artists. So only a minute amount of his music has been freely distributed to the public.
The other half of the duo is "Faint Acquaintance". "Faint" is an illustrius character who has always stood out with his unique appearance and style, destined to collide with hip hop sooner or later. Fortunately for him, it was sooner. As fate would have it... After only a year of making beats, Too Juicy discovered the missing link he had been needing all this time. The two began teaching each other what they knew almost immediately, and now their musical minds almost think as one. The two are currently one of the few duos in which each member does all of his own DJing, MCing, and producing in the group.
